I have configured my Server. Now when I send a message it get's stuck in the
Outgoing SMTP queue. in SBS2003, there's a setting in the SMTP properties
for "always Run", but I cannot find whee to edit SMTP connector properties
(OR POP3 Connector Properties, for that matter) in the 2008 Exchange System
Manager. Please advise where to fins these settings or other advice.

I believe i saw a setting for domain DNS in the hub transport, or something
like that. I am installing over again to get a clean installation and apply
the various changes I found I needed after the first try. Isn't there still
a schedule setting for outgoing SMTP?

Also .. How do I access OWA from the SBS server? localhost/exchange didn't
work.

OWA is at: https://remote.publicdomain.com/owa

SBS 2k8 uses split DNS.

Hello,

Thanks for your post and others' suggestions.

In addition, if it's the first time you begin to configure Email system in
SBS 2008, please check the below TechNet articles when you have time:

Configure the server to send and receive Exchange Server e-mail over the
Internet

Configuring Internet Mail in Windows Small Business Server 2008

Managing Office Outlook Web Access in Windows Small Business Server 2008

Hope this helps. Also, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not
hesitate to let me know..

CRM Queue's
Is it possible to have multiple e-mail alias's go into the same CRM queue? I have the CRM queue and AD account setup. If I send an e-mail using the primary e-mail address for this AD account, everything works correrctly (CRM receives the e-mail and places it in the queue). Any e-mail which is sent to the alias of this this account will end up in the Exchange mailbox but not the CRM queue. I am running CRM 1.2 with Exchange 2000. Thanks, Mike ...

emails stuck in outbox #3
Hello, we have an Exchange 2000 server, the problem is on a Windows 2000 workstation running Outlook 2000. Emails appear to be getting stuck in the outbox but not all emails, this user has to send on behalf of other people, i.e.. putting a different users name into the 'From' field, its only these emails that appear to be getting stuck, but even though they are still in the outbox the recipient still receives the email! very odd. Any Ideas? have tried removing and reconfiguring the outlook profile. Thanks Gary ...

Reinstalling SBS2008
Hi All I got a real problem here, about a month ago I install SBS 2008 on a brand new computer system. Everything worked fine for about a month then I started getting problems, it was either the process of registering a domain name or an update through everything off. Problems occured and while resolving those problems, things got worse. I made an attempt to repair the problems by uploading the best practice analyser, ran the test, and did the repairs. well now the system just crashes. not fun. I spent about two weeks trying to fix it and now Im getting fustrated. The question I...

Growing SMTP queue to random domains
We have seen this issue where the SMTP queue on an Exchange 2000 Server begins to grow. The domains are valid but the email addresses seem suspect (i.e. kxkevgrlew@domain.com ). However, the domains are not known to the business and generally appear to be completely random. If we enumerate the messages they all are sent from the postmaster with the subject "Delivery Status Notification (Failure)." The only knowledge base article I could find (324958) describes this problem only if the mail server is open for relay or is on a black list of some sort. The servers that are experien...

clear exchange smtp queue
Is there any script to clear the Exchange Smtp Queues? many Spam Mail there. If you can positively identify the spam you could stop Exchange services and delete the mail. I'm not sure I'd want to do this. Let Exchange sort the mail out and if this occurs frequently review how you are handling spam (recipient lookup, tarpitting) and your spam filter. Outgoing mail sitting in Queue

OWA does not work, I do not have an M Drive mapping anymore Any Ideas anyone To The M is not longer available on Exchange 2003. Try Internet mail wizard on exchange 2003 for the outgoing messages. deleting in Workplace queue
Just wanted some confirmation here.... when you delete an email from your Assigned folder in the workplace screen, it just deletes the pointer in that queue and the original email exists as an activity in CRM. When you delete anything else, say a Case, that actually deletes the Case from CRM. Seems kind of inconsistent, but am I correct here? Thanks. You are actually deleting the task that is associated with the email and not the email itself. SBS2008 Internet address IP instead of domain name?
SBS2008St. We have a small office of 7 people and our web site is hosted by a public service provider and we would like to leave it there. Therefore we wouldn't like to register any new domain. Or does it makes any sense to use a public server hosted domain name as a Internet address in SBS configuration?. Until now we have used for server remote access just an IP number, could we use here the same IP instead of domain name? And to enable e-mail and remote web just to keep using IP onstead doamin name? It seems to be also more secure then company.com.... Some more info...

Problem with SBS2008/Email
I am having a problem with a new SBS2008 server that I can't figure out. It revolves around internal email that I can see (1 user on same server sending to another user on the same). It is also not happening with all of the 12 clients on the SBS2008, only a few of them where emails are getting rejected. I looked up their information in the SBS2008 and all looks good to me. Here is a sample of the reject. cma.local is the local domain and "Melonie" is trying send to "Joann". I looked up Joann's info in SBS2008 AD and Exchange 2007 and she as ema...

SBS2008
Just installed my first SBS2008. Pretty cool so far. Question: Is there any additional configuration on the Server to receive email other than adding the Domain to Accepted Domains? I need to support 3 mail domains on this server, all 3 have A Records for mail.domain.com that point to the SBS2008 server IP. Also, I notice that when I create a user, only the default domain is added to the users email addresses, as opposed to SBS2003 which added all the domains. Is this by design, or have I not added domains correctly. Hosting Multiple Domains on SBS 2008/Exchange 2007 htt...

queue recirculation?
I have a problem. I have 1 exchange server dedicated to handling SMTP (both inbound and outbound), and then 3 exchange servers dedicated to handling mailbox stores. One of those mailbox store servers got comprimised, so I had to move those mailbox stores over to one of the other 2 servers. Unfortunatly, there is still a queue on the SMTP server for the old (broken) mailbox store server that is no longer in production. How do I re-circulate that queue so that those 5000+ emails that got queued get redirected to the mailbox store of the server that holds the respective mailboxes? Tha...

Router for SBS2008
I have been using sbs2003 with 2-nic / ISA configuration. I am now upgrading to new server and sbs2008. I realize I need to get a router. We have 14 workstations on the LAN and 6 more people work from home full time currently using XP VPN. Just about everyone uses OWA and/or RWW from time to time when not in the office. My question is this. I am looking at Cisco RV042, because I want 2 WAN ports to add a second DSL and balance remote users, but there are VPN tunnel limits. Am I going to just open ports my router firewall and SBS takes care of the rest or do I need to be co...

Meeting responses stuck in Outbox
I am a new user to Outlook and have been trying to get used to the calendar (I am used to Lotus Notes). I can accept meeting invitations, and they show up in my agenda. However, if I take the option 'Send Response Now', the response gets stuck in my outbox. I can still send normal mail, but the meeting responses stay stuck until I delete them (meaning that the person who invited me doesn't know if I've accepted or not). Still wondering: Outlook replies stuck in outbox
I'll try again, c'mon, nobody has any ideas for me? Heres a strange one ever since I installed outlook 2003 on xp about a year ago. If I "reply" to a message and "send" it, outlook places a copy to send in the outbox (like normal), but it's status is not "italicized", as in the right state to actually send. The message is basically stuck. If I open it and "send" it, no good. If I open the outbox message and "forward" and "send" it, the email does send, keeping the original "reply" in the outbox however.
