Is it just me - or are - windows 7 - media center - windows live mail - etc. all somewhat disjointed?

Some three months into Windows 7 X64 and just about reconciled to absence of
NewsGroups via Outlook Express - when up jumps Windows Live Mail - evidently
with

capability to reach out and subscribe to NTTP Newsgroups. I surmise -
there must also be a host of features (or at least - some) which also I have
managed to overlook - which are part of the Media Center Software. Won't
even mention the new look of Office 2007 (2010 you say?) where it takes a
dullard like me - a few weeks to find the
help tab....

But - getting there is said to be more important than the final
destination... so I'm off to find the wizard. There's a rumor that one can
even print out a Spread Sheet - if you can find where Excel is hiding.

Newsgroups have always been available in Windows Live and the setup for them
is more or less the same as it was in Outlook Express (Tools, Accounts, Add,
Newsgroups). In fact other than a slightly "glossed-up" interface, Live Mail
and Outlook Express don't seem much different.

Office 2007 is not new to Windows 7, it has been around, well... since 2007.
And yes, the interface has changed from 2003, but Office 95 was a radical
departure from from the Windows/DOS versions before it as well. Most people
seems to like the ribbon interface a lot once they get used to it (or if it
the only thing they know). Personally, I find it much less disjointed than
the mess of toolbars and buttons on the old interface.

As far as Media Center, those features have been around since XP days - the
first version of Media Center was released in 2002. If you have no need for
those features, then don't bother with them.

I'm not really sure what you are trying to say, that you don't want any
added features in your software? Then why bother upgrading?

You don't want the new version to be any different than the old? Then why
bother creating a new version?

deleted recipient polices reappearing, causes a mail loop.
We have 2 backend ex servers, 2000 and 2003. One front end ex2003 server. When we had only one exchange server 2000, we had several recipient policies which we had to removed when we added additioanl servers. they were email address policies. Now that the addresses have been removed from the policy in esm and we used admodify to removed from each user, the domains reappear in the iis smtp metabase on the servers after a mailbox manager process is run....they do not reappear in the esm nor are the user accounts stamped with the addresses. They just reapperar in the metabase. I have ...

outlook 7 sending email is sent to outbox and remains there
When I post an email to be sent, it is posted in the "outbox" folder where it remains. Sometimes, in experimenting, I have "clicked and moved" the message from the outbox to the "sent" folder. Sometimes the message is then sent. How do I direct the "send" message to immediately send the email and not to move it to the "outbox" folder? In the "tools" "option" file, is there such a place to make this correction? That should not be an issue to begin with. This issue is often caused by having a virus scanner in...
