If you have Windows XP then you have two mail clients, OE and
Windows Live Mail. Not having XP I can't tell you the exact procedure
to ensure that Windows Live Mail has all its defaults.

Well, I'd had Messenger disabled for many months as I'd put off the
compulsory upgrade to Wave 3 (for Messenger). However, before this under WLM
2 it was behaving OK. So something in either WLM 3 or Messenger 3 or both
must have screwed something.

Anyway, it's not a huge deal as I hadn't been using it for a while. Still,
I'd like to get to the bottom of it. I've not yet received any mails this
morning while I've been sat at the PC so maybe a reboot may have sorted
things. That sometimes happens.

I like WLM 3 so far. I'm aware of the UI criticisms that came out a year ago
and I agree with them - or the ones I can remember. However, I'm getting
used to the changes and it looks like Wave 4 will be better again. :-)

Yes, most of us moan about change, myself included. :-) However, I usually
make an effort to get used to the new way, even when software vendors
sometimes provide the option to revert to the old way. Sometimes people are
just too impatient to give the new way a try. You can see this over in the
Opera forums for example. Many are moaning about the changes between 10.1
and the recent 10.5. Others have said that this has gone on throughout
Opera's history. Version X sucks. Then when version Y is released it sucks
and everyone says how great version X was! :-)

Masking/Changing return E-mail address
I have Exchange 2003 as my mail server for my domain. I alos have a Unix based HIS System that has its own e-mail service (internally). I have set up the Unix box to allow users to send e-mail to everyone includeing the outside world. I had to tell the unix box its mail domain was mail.domain.org . When a user send mail outside of either domain, the mail is rcvd but the recipient cannot reply due to the false domain. I have been told that there is a way to setup a "table" on Exchange that will change the unix users e-mail to reflect a valid address so the recipient can...

Microsoft Office Notification app never opens
Right now my office's install of Office 2004 does not come with Entourage (because we want to encourage our users to use another email program) but when you try to save something in word, you never get an audible response to know that it saved sucessfully. Some of our more protective users would really love to get their *DING* back. When I try to open up the Office Notification app it never seems to open, it just bounces up and down, but it never fully opens. Any ideas? Restoring GP Databases on New System
Dear All, I don't have the Great Plains CDs and cannot seem to find information about GP databases, etc. What is the dynamics database? I think it's the great plains system's databases. We're currently running this along with SQL server 2000 & obtaining information for documentation purposes. I will be upgrading (not an in-place migration) of Windows 2000 server to Windows Server 2003 where the Great Plains database sits. My plan is to use the SQL backup-to-files to restore all SQL databases including the GP dynamics and the other GP databases. Is this the right way to ...

Hello Experts. I have a Yahtzee game with 2 buttons/2 macros. One button (Roll Dice) rolls the dice (Calculate) and the second button (Next Player) clears all checkboxes on the sheet. However, I'd like to know if there's a way to disable the first button after it's been clicked 3 times, then re-enable it once the second button is clicked and start the count over... Please advise. I thank you for your time. We can use a Global variable to communicate between the two macros: Dim IAmTheCount As Integer Sub FirstButton() If IsEmpty(IAmTheCount) Then I...

SOME .docx files open in compatibility mode
Can anyone point me to where I can determine what elements may be causing some DOCX files to open in compatibility mode in word 2007 and word 2010 Beta? What seems strange is that if I open the document, make a change to it and resave it, when re-opened, it will STILL be in compatibility mode. However, if I open the document, do NOT change anything, and then re-save it under a new name and re-open it, then it does NOT open in compatibility mode. Creating a form that can be dragged from any click within the 'Detail' section
