Windows Live Mail #2
Ok, I've been a happy user of Outlook 2000 for a long time, but have liked
what I see so far of the Vista version of Windows Mail. There is a similar
version for XP called Windows Live Mail which looks the same.
This may be OT, but as I am an Outlook user, maybe asking here may be
helpful. My favorite features of Outlook are Rules, Calendar and Tasks. Are
these features available for Live Mail or is there a plug-in? If not, I am
happy with Outlook.

I have seen a few questions revolving around this topic, but none
specifically addressing it. My question is this: what (if anything)
will break if a Great Plains (v8; SQL Server 2000 on Server 2003)
server is moved from Windows domain X to Windows domain Y?
A few things I have been thinking in regards to this:
-since the SQL server is using mixed Windows/SQL authentication, and
all users authenticate exclusively using SQL credentials, there should
be no issues with user accounts
-since the server (in it's entirety) is moving (not just the DB), there
should be no issue with SID mismatc...MFC Migration Kit still exists?

I am trying to migrate from goldmine 6.5 to Microsoft CRM 4.0 and I am
having some trouble at the final hurdle.
I have imported all company data as Accounts, then I import individual
people as Contacts, but I leave the Company Name column in and map it
to parent customer -> account name.
This works to a degree, but for some reason will only accept 1 of each
company, so if there are multiple contacts under one account then it
takes the first one and rejects the rest. It looks like the
relationship is stuck at 1-1 for the import, but I can then manually

I have a simple dialog just for inputting text. This dialog has a

In windows classic theme, everything is OK, but if the windows theme

Happy Holidays, All!
This isn't covered in the SDK, that I can see, but we have a service running
that needs to query the CRM database (using the SDK) - but it is running on
an application server out side of CRM. We can do this with impersonation,
using an existing user in CRM - but the password needs to be hardcoded that
way - making it necessary to revisit the applicatin every 90 days...

Ideally (and technically, legally), the service sould have it's own ID.

This message was posted here because:
1. I couldn't find any newsgroup on Microsoft Communities for Windows 7
(which I believe is an absolute must)
2. the program mentioned at the end would also work for Vista.
From day one of upgrading to Windows 7, I was faced with the unpleasant
reality that Win7 doesn't remember the size and position of folders. To
torture me, for some reason unknown to me, it began to restrict some
programs' windows--such as IE , Outlook, Chrome, and a few other--to a fixed
size and position, not allowing any change no matter how many times...Mutliple ListCtrls on the left in a spltter window
I don't know exactly what it is called.
You can see it in Spybot Search and Destroy.
You can also see it in old version of the Regular Outlook.
It is like a tree and a menu.
It will have a number of buttons.
When each button is pressed, it will expand the level showing icons
I think it uses ListView Icon mode.
The Buttons must be the actual headers buttons.
When the header button is pressed, it rearranges each ListControl,
then Exands the List Controls Height.
Anybody know what that is called or seen an example?

Well, do you mean "across the screen" or "across the client area of its parent"? There
are a couple different issues depending on the answer.

Windows 7 power saving feature puts the system to sleep after a certain
period of idleness. This is fine, but in doing so it also seems to reset my
screen resolution from the recommended 1980 x 1080 to a much lower
resolution resulting in much larger icons, type, etc. I can easily re-set
the resolution, but it doesn't seem like I should have to. Is there a way
to prevent this change? I've only had my new Windows 7 machine for a week
or so, but this has happened on several occasions.
