Help customizing reports
We need to do some relatively simple customization of a couple of the
default reports, but are having a hard time figuring out the relationships
between incident, incidententryactivity and incidentresolutionactivity.
What we would like is a report that lists all Cases under an Account and all
Activities under each Case, and rolls up the durations of each Activity to
the Case, and possibly to the Account. If I understand this correctly, the
'incidentresolutionactivity' record in fact contains this information at the
Case level, but we are just unable to display this informat...Headquarters Local Customers

Not all of the local customers are in the Headquarters database. I have
tried forcing a change to upload the customer by running the following query
at the store location: UPDATE CUSTOMER SET LastUpdated = GetDate(). A 401
was then issued. The local customers still did not show in the Headquarters

I am working in a software development team which is developing Machine
Translator software. Now, after developing the translation engine, they have
assigned me a task which is development of a component that reads a word
file, translate it using translator engine and then generates another word
file which should contain the same formatting as the original file. I would
like to know whether the automation is the right way to do this or not. And
if not, what way do you suggest?

uses AND instead of OR. Is there a custom field I can use? Suggestions?
Your problem is that you need to reference the current date. You can either
create a filter (Project > Filtered for > More Filters) for:
Start is less than "Starts before"?

One big problem I am coming across as I implement CRM in my organisation is
that you quickly run into brick walls which can only be overcome by dragging
in development resource - this is fine for large organisations but I only
have a limted number of engineers who are fully committed to other projects
- the stuff I am trying to do is very simple inter-record referencing etc but
it seems you have to be a programmer to do this with callouts etc

I wonder how consumers should be handled in Microsoft CRM. By "consumers" I

I've created a custom table of contents (TOC) by entering my own TC field
codes. This shows correctly, but how do I automatically add chapter numbers
to my TOC entries, (eg. 1, 2, 3..., etc) so that they will automatically
resequence, if I add new chapters, or re-order them. eg.

having is that the options provided for displaying tasks are both more
difficult to use than useful. I have the choice between having either Today's

Recently whenever I print the custom buttons on my spreadsheets move.
This happens on any of my spreadsheets that have custom buttons. Thi
started to happen on our network a month ago. I don't know if it i
associated with a Windows XP or Windows 2000 Exchange Server Update.
It can be corrected when selecting "move & size with cells" from th
button properties BUT I don't have time to make this adjustment on al

We're using global customers wtih HQ manager (1.2.171). Is there any way that
we can set customer types for reporting purposes. It seems that functionality
(user defined fields) disappears from store operations when you go to using

Trying to get several files such as inventory, customer, vendor, etc. over to
a MS Excel file. I need all data fields offered brought over.
There are 2 ways,
1. Open report giving you desired info. select coulmns (Show hide columns)
you want, there is an option at the top to export it to any desired format.
2. Go to administrator, use SQL query to give you all required fields. Go to
File > Export to export it to CSV format.

One way to get what you need is to create your own activity view in asp.net
and using the CRM SDK.

Is there a way to generate electronic copy of To-Do list to hand out to
users via email? What I am currently doing it to generate the report than
save it as .pdf file format to send it via electronically.
Or can a to-do list be generated in a view?
I turned on filtering & tried to sort tasks by resource name but this
doesn't quite provide the view want because some of the tasks have 2+
resources assigned. I just want each resource to be able to see their own
planned work hour & start/finish date for each task.

This is a ...Outlook Contacts always suggests "Custom Form Cannot Be Opened"
I have ascertained by searching "Message Class Field" that all contacts in
the search come up as found.
Therefore I think somehow I have put in place a Custom Form and would like
Outlook to go back to using the default / standard form.

I have created a new custom entity (A) for which I need to create two
referential relationships to other custom entities (B) & (C). (A) is the
primary entity in both cases.
The relationship between (A) and (B) acts normally.
The relationship between (A) and (C) doesn't. When I try to add a (C) record
