Close Worksheet and Making Worksheet Invisible
I use this (pardon the variable names...)
infile = "C:\Temp\Garb-Tests\Test1\solTrip.xlsx"
insheet = "Trip"
Set o = Workbooks.Open(infile).Worksheets(insheet)
Reading data from this works. However, this causes the sheet to open, but I
don't want that so I do:
o.Visible = false
When I do this, ths sheet still opens but it opens without any data!
Also, when I try to close this workbook using:
o.Close (false, false)
I get a runtime error 438 - Object does not support...Print or save custom form without sender's information
Recently I created my first form in Outlook to be used for our company's
“Suggestion Box” Public Folder. It’s a custom form which was modified from a
Post form. The idea was that our employees would be more likely to provide
feedback if it were as simple as sending an e-mail, rather than having to
take the time to leave their desks and fill out a hard copy form to drop into
an actual suggestion box.
In an effort to keep the information anonymous, I was able to remove the
“From” field in the form and create a custom view in the Public Folder so

i've just downloaded a trial version of publisher and love it so far except

i have a fresh install of xp home with linksys wireless drivers, nvidia
drivers, avg free and essential ms updates installed up to service pack 3 and
nothing else installed. it downloaded the sp3 and started the install
procedure the progress bar makes it to about a 3rd of the way through then
gives me a message that it failed to install catalogue files there is no
error code that went with the message. has anybody seen this happen yet? is
there anything i can do?
NOTE: *** IF Internet Explorer 7 or 8 are installed, UNinstall it now

I am trying to install Publisher 2003. Even before it comes up with the
Product Key, it gives the message "This patch package could not be opened.
Verify the patch package exists and that you can access it."
I have Office 2003 Basic Edition installed. I uninstalled the Office and
then tried to install it but still it comes up with the same message. Did
some research and used the Windows clean up utility but to no avail.

I had Windows XP and Office 2003 worked just fine on it. Then, I got Windows
7. Everytime I start any Office 2003 program, I am asked if I accept the
End-user License Agreement.
I also have Powerpoint 2007 and it doesn't do this.
Does anyone have any advice?
Often this can be resolved by logging in as Administrator, then accepting
the license agreement. I don't know if that works in Win7, but it wouldn't

Contact the person who created the file and ask them to save it as a Pub
2000 file. There is nothing *you* can do other than to upgrade to Pub 2003.

I recently uninstalled norton, added macafee, did a compression and defrag
and may have deleted a file or two . . . :P Anyway, now when I try to open
Publisher or a Publisher file from explorer, I get the error 1304 message
asking if I have access to program files/microsoft
I have access to this file and can see it from explorer. How do I correct
this issue so I can run Publisher again?

the server. The orders imported use the 'User Date" to set the imported
order's 'Order Date' value. The User Date does not increment on it's own.

Do they have to be in Word? You can create a folder on the Desktop and

We work in a mostly french environment. We have a standard image using MUI
Microsoft products (XP and Office 2003 are MUI) Since the convertion of an
ACCESS 97 BD into Access 2003, we experience a sort sequence problem when
DoCmd.Openform or DoCmd.ApplyFilter
A selection on a name like "Cot�" will return no record. Asking for "Cote"
will return all records including "Cot�".
I suspect a problem with MUI (multi-user interface) but I did not find any
recommandation at Microsoft.

I currently use Microsoft Word for a lot of things but one problem I
run into and I hope can explain this correctly. I insert a picture and
want to type next to the picture but text has to be put on line below
picture which takes up space that I need.
Also not the right message board but can you insert pictures in an
excel spreadsheet and put text next to picture?

Need some help if you know how to fix this. I somehow changed how Word opens
docx files and now they open as outlook attachments. I have already tried
making word the default program but that doesn't seem to work. I'm pretty
sure it has something to do with the code because I can't find anything in

I have published a custom task form to my Organizational Forms Library

It works great, and now I have 2 quick questions regarding selecting
the published forms:
1. Can I make the forms available by selecting the NEW menu, so I
don't have to choose the form, and then browse to find it? I would
like be able to select New and have it show my custom form there AND
the default task form for that folder.
2. If not, I think I am supposed to be able to highlight the task
folder, then select the ACTION menu and see ...
