I Need Help.
I recently demoted my PDC to a standard server and joined
another domain. Now when I attempt to access Excel I
receive the following:
"Installing components for Microsoft Excel"
Installing: "Microsoft Excel Feature"
It runs and then goes away but it does this every time I
open Excel. How do I get rid of this message. I really
don't want to re-install Excel.
Things I have done.
1. Copied the old user's profile to the new one.
2. Move the Application Data...I cant see pictures inserted into word/publisher
On reopening the files I can't see pictures inserted in Word or Publisher.
I'd suggest start by updating your graphics driver.

i have a fresh install of xp home with linksys wireless drivers, nvidia
drivers, avg free and essential ms updates installed up to service pack 3 and
nothing else installed. it downloaded the sp3 and started the install
procedure the progress bar makes it to about a 3rd of the way through then
gives me a message that it failed to install catalogue files there is no
error code that went with the message. has anybody seen this happen yet? is
there anything i can do?
NOTE: *** IF Internet Explorer 7 or 8 are installed, UNinstall it now
before applying SP3. Reinstall it afterwards...publisher #74

I am trying to install Publisher 2003. Even before it comes up with the
Product Key, it gives the message "This patch package could not be opened.
Verify the patch package exists and that you can access it."
I have Office 2003 Basic Edition installed. I uninstalled the Office and
then tried to install it but still it comes up with the same message. Did
some research and used the Windows clean up utility but to no avail.

Is Access 2007 still in beta or fairly new? I just downloaded a
trial. I am wondering if most enterprise level companies are still on
Access 2003? Would you suggest developing a database in 2007 if
the customer doesn't have a preference? It looks like it just has a
new interface but it is basically the same as 2003?
The other question I have is about quality assurance. Is there any
tips on the MVP's site or is it in any books. I have the access 2003
inside and out book which was good but it is slow reading through
examples. Should I get the 2007 book?

Just got this software last week with no manual, so Im
kinda flying by the seat of my pants here.
The question is Ive put together some promotional flyers
I need to send to my customers, but I feel confident that
most would not have publisher to read them.
Can I format them another way and still keep the flyer

little bit. Now every time I restart Outlook it crashes Outlook and disables
Microsoft CRM for Outlook. I have to reopen Outlook and re-enable CRM for
Outlook in order for it to work again. Do you know why this is happening?
How is CRM for Outlook disabled/enabled (i.e. where are you going to
"enable" the SFO client)?

Contact the person who created the file and ask them to save it as a Pub
2000 file. There is nothing *you* can do other than to upgrade to Pub 2003.

and may have deleted a file or two . . . :P Anyway, now when I try to open
Publisher or a Publisher file from explorer, I get the error 1304 message
asking if I have access to program files/microsoft
I have access to this file and can see it from explorer. How do I correct
this issue so I can run Publisher again?

I currently use Microsoft Word for a lot of things but one problem I
run into and I hope can explain this correctly. I insert a picture and
want to type next to the picture but text has to be put on line below
picture which takes up space that I need.
Also not the right message board but can you insert pictures in an
excel spreadsheet and put text next to picture?

I have had Excel 2003 file with chart that displayed incorrectly in Excel
2007. To the best of my knowledge, my particular problems were submitted by
Jon Peltier to Microsoft as a bug. They involved color problems, and legend
problems in an area chart. However, I have been told that they were not a
compatibility problem, but I can't tell you what the issue was if not that.
