Pub 2003 One Color Gradient Changes in PDF

I have selected a one color gradient (horizontal) from the fill effects box,
with dark at top and bottom, fading into the center of the page. This is a
background that fills the page behind text and a photo. It will bleed, so I
need the darkest part at top and bottom.
The gradient looks terrific on the screen, but when I convert the file to
PDF, the gradient reverses itself - the darkest part is in the middle of the
page, and it fades toward the top and bottom.
I have tried saving the text box (the only thing in it is the gradient fill)
as a PNG and reinserting. When I converted that file to PDF, the color was
in the right place, but it was a dark box at the top and bottom, no gradient.
Yuck.
I've read through all the posts (got the idea of saving as PNG and
reinserting from Mary) and haven't seen a situation exactly as this.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. I learn a lot from searching a topic
and reading through the previous posts.

It sounds like you're using transparency. If this is a background, it
will save you a lot of hassle if you lose the transparency and use solid
colours instead; you should be able to get exactly the same effect. You
can use a two-colour gradient to give you finer control over the colours
at the ends and the middle if the one-colour option doesn't give you
enough flexibility to get the same appearance.

Thank you so much! I spent a lot of time trying to figure it out, and afraid
it was a bug, so I am ecstatic that your solution works great! Thanks again!

Moving 5.5 mailboxes from one server to another
Can any kind person out there tell me a quick way to move mailboxes? I can only do it one at a time, I think, is that correct? TIA Steve You can hold down the shift key and select multiple mailboxes to move to the second server. For reference here is an article on best practices when moving mailboxes between servers. The thing to pay special note to is the number of transaction logs created during the move. Be sure you have disk space to accomodate this or per the article you would want to TEMPORARILY enable circular logging during the move. After the move you will want to disable this...

Outlook 2003 / Contacts / Flags
Hi! Can anyone help on this one..... I wish to flag over 100 contacts with a follow-up flag. I have listed the relevant contacts through using a filtered view and I had hoped that I could select all the filtered contacts and then flag them.... but apparently not. I have the following observations: 1. My customised toolbar looses the flags in Contact view and I cannot add them to my toolbar. 2. The follow-up flag under Actions is greyed out, but I can use it on a single contact at a time, but it wants me to go through the rigmarole of setting end dates etc,.... (far too long-winded) 3....

Multiple entities One Database and Interfund
When I purchased GP 9.0 our consulting company recommended that we install with multiple entities in one database. I didn't know any better not having any idea how "interfund" worke and this has become a nightmare for many reasons. I ended up having to set up vendors and customers for each entity and my intercompany transactions are a mess that has to be interpreted via Excel. I am pulling my hair out and I need advice on what I can do to make this work before I reinstall into separate databases. The intercompany (interfund in this case) is just a big bucket of transac...
