Pictures Hidden

Hi there,
I am using Publisher 2003 Sp2 in a Windows XP SP2 environment. When I insert
a picture it is not visible - just the handles - neither can it be seen in a
print preview. I have played with the three options under 'View, Pictures'
and this makes no difference. From past experience, does anyone have any
idea why this might be happening?
Thx,
Kim.

Maybe the following instructions will be useful:

Go to the support website of your video
adapter's mfg. and search for drivers.

If you don't know the make and model of
your video adapter...check the documentation
that came with the computer.

Also you could try these steps...
Go to...Start / Run...type...
msinfo32 ...press enter.

On the System Information screen...choose...
Components / Display...

You should find the make and model of your
display adapter as well as the driver version.

If the driver on the support website is more
current than the one you are running...
download it and install it. Also you should find
installation instructions at the support site.

red x -pictures don't print
Here's my problem: I scanned a whole bunch of pictures ito publisher 2007 as part of a booklet I want to convert into a PDF file and then print (or e-mail). When I convert the document to PDF, the pictures don't show on the pdf - only an empty black box or the box with a red x in it. They also don't show in the print preview page.
