Email Notifications

How do you deselect the send
email notifications when we publish timelines?

Currently, we have many people in the resource pool with 2 extra
characters prefixing their email addresses so that email is not valid
and they don't get the notifications, but our network admin does not
like this method.

I don't really want to clear the smtp email because some people we
want to get these emails.

We also don't want to have to rely on each user going into their
personal settings to deactivate it themselves.

Is there any way other than the things mentioned here?

As you know by experience, because of a bug in Project Server 2007, the
system sends out an e-mail message to every team member every time the PM
publishes a project, even if the task schedule does not change for any team
member. This goes beyond mere annoyance, as it causes team members to not
trust the system. The only way to disable this one permission for everyone
(so they don't have to go to the Manage My Notifications and Reminders page)
is to follow the steps outlined in the following FAQ:

http://www.projectserverexperts.com/ProjectServerFAQKnowledgeBase/SetDefaultEmailSubscriptions.aspx

By following the steps in the FAQ, you will eliminate the problem entirely.
Hope this helps.

office 2003 Outlook margin formatting when entering an email
Hi from New Zealand. I am using Microsoft Office 2003 under Windows XP and Word 2003 as the program that is called when I created a new email. I am using custom stationary sometimes. My problem is that when I type a line goes way out to the right edge of the screen making the email quite hard to read as I type. I can shorten the line with a hard "enter" key but that's annoying. I can upper window slider back for the right margin and that works but it never "sticks" for the next email. Is there anyway I can get that right margin to stick between emails? ...

Restrict email account to send mail to a single internal address (Kiosk)
Is there a way in Exchange 2003 to restrice an internal email account so it can only send email to one specific internal email address? Workflow email: Lead converted within 24 hours
Hi, I'm having trouble figuring out how to make a timed workflow email based on whether a condition's been satisfied or not. I've tried tips from the "Using MS CRM" book as well as searches within this group. Here's what I'm going for and my progress: We need an email to be sent out when a Lead isn't converted within 24 hours of an Owner receiving it. I think 24 hours after creation would be acceptable to start with, but Ownership would be even better. The closest I can come is a workflow that says: When Lead Status is Changed Wait for 1 day after Le...

For Email Guru
Periodically, I get these annoying emails from Spamis. The emails are anti-Microsoft emails ranting about how awful MS is. My question is this: The emails I get from Spamis have my email address in both the TO and FROM fields. How does someone send me an email with my email address as the person who sent it, when it did not come from me? Obviously, the header is forged, but how does that work? Is there software that will do this? No doubt many people get these annoying emails and every one of them must be forged with invalid FROM addresses. I also can't add this email to the Junk e...

Alias Email To External Contacts?

We're about to move over to our own internal exchange 2003 server, and I'm not to sure how to setup these mail forwards. Certain email in OWA does not work
