Set Customer F7 Issues

I'm trying to setup customer id cards
The cards would have a bar code and cashier would scan them.
I have two problems i'm running into.

1. When cashier presses F7 and scans the card unless the focus is on 
"ACCOUNT" the software can select wrong customer.
Also if the a item bar code is scanned or a wrong card is scanned t will 
select some account instead of prompting the cashier .
The focus can be changed if manual customer look up by name is used .
Is there a way to prompt the cashier if the customers card( customer number) 
is not found.

Is there a way to block cashiers from using manual look up? 

2 Is there a way  to create a customer card that the cashier would only have 
to scan, and not have to press F7 to set customer ?

If you set RMS to not to remember the last sorting, that will always =
bring the lookup field to Account number.  Manager | File | =
Configuration | Options tab | General options | select Don't remember =
sort lists

Instead of pressing F7, again in the Options tab | Customer options | =
select Prompt for customer selection or Require Customer

Another option is again the Customer options | Always display Find... | =
by selecting the Account Number it will only search the numbers.

Or use a combination of any or all of them!

Robert,
If you find the solutions that Jeff posted are not working consistenly 
enough for you, we also have a program called Express Customer Setup that, 
among other things, can take a swipe from a loyalty card at the beginning of 
a transaction and set the customer for you.  If you are interested in

Exchange 5.5 Export and Import issue
We did an export of our Exchange 5.5 system, Changed the display name on all the mailboxes and then imported it back without any problems. We changed it from First Name to Last Name, First. In the admin app, the display name field looks correct. In the address book in Outlook, it looks correct. I am in the process of recovering data from an anchange disaster. I had all of the mailboxes recovered and are all in PST files. I have custom macros that are saved in an .xls file under the XLStart/ folder in Excel 2003. These macros are referenced by an Excel11.xlb file that holds the toolbars.
