Does anyone know when the POS Connector will be released for Dynamics RMS
Store Operations to SBA 2007? Will it have any improvements in it for PO

Link formulas to Worksheet names
Is it possible to link formulas into worksheet names. I do weekly reporting where the tab name is a date. What I want to do is run a formula from the tab name. I have used the cell "filename" function, and this works fine, but then I run into difficulties when I move copies of the sheet to other books as I include 4 workbook sheets into a new workbook, and they obviously cannot have the same name. I can modify my cell "filename" function to cope, but was wondering if there was an easier way. I tried Walkenbach Sheetname function, but couldnt get this to run. CHeers ---...

I can't be informal about this because I'm writing legal documents that require a very specific form. So... I'd really like word to help me find the problem phrases. I'm using Word 2007 under Windows 7, both fully updated. Is there already a che...

Provide a way to e-mail an article *from* the article
I have finally found an article by browsing through the knowledge base, I'm looking right at it, and want to send it to someone, but there's no way to do that (AFAIK). Instead, I have to go to the menu, New > New Activity > e-mail, then create a message, and insert the KB article (search for it, or switch to Subject Browse in the pull-down, and browse down through the subject tree to find it again, assuming I have any idea where it was in the subject tree). An "E-mail This Article" kind of button would be very helpful. ---------------- This post is a suggestion...

RMS HQ running on Citrix
We have RMS running at stores and the servers at 1 office (soon to be hosted at our ISP). All office staff access RMS HQ via citrix. We have separate servers for HQ, Comms and the SQL DB. None of which tick over 10% CPU usage and there is plenty of RAM on the servers. We are constantly getting the following errors: (1) clipboard errors, (2) runtime errors, (3) refreshing lists message delays, (4) RMS HQ hanging (5) Sales Reports taking 5 minutes to run Are these citrix related? Is there a preferable way to allow users from multiple locations to access RMS HQ? Someone has suggested usi...

Automatic link
when i open a workbook, the warning prompts saying there are automatic link, and ask if i want to update or not. anyway to eliminate it? btw, i don't hv any url link inside the workbook. This is by design of Excel. In Excel XP you have the option to not prompt but the links will automatically udpate. The links that it is referring to are links to other workbooks not to hyperlinks. All other versions of Excel don't have this option so you would have to open the file with code to get the prompt to go away. Chris "Soe" <soenandar@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:...

EXE with MFC statically linked loads DLL with MFC linked as shared
Is it generally OK for an EXE that has MFC linked statically to load an use another DLL wich has MFC linked as shared DLL ? To be more specific: I have an EXE that links a lib. Let's call it mylib.lib. That Lib as well as the EXE have MFC linked statically. Then in a completely different project I have a regular DLL, wich is compiled with the /CLR switch and therefore needs the special CRT libs as well as MFC linked as shared library. This DLL links mylib.lib too only that this time mylib.lib links MFC as shared library too. Both exe and dll need need to link against mylib.lib because ...

Formulas containing links to other Excel files
I have a spreadsheet that I update monthly. A column of cells contains a formula that links to a previous spreadsheet something like this: =vlookup(a1,'[OctoberFile.xls]Sheet1'!$A$1:$K$100,4,false) If I put text in cell B1 "OctoberFile" I would like the [OctoberFile.xls] part of the formula to change if I change the content of cell B1 to NovemberFile so that it links to another file called NovemberFile.xls. Not sure if I have explained this very well does does anyone have any ideas without using code? Thanks, Andrew You would normally use the INDIRECT function, but i...

paste with transpose function AND paste links at same time
I have a set of data that has to be pasted on another sheet and I want to link each cell with the cells I copied the data from. This is not a problem because of the 'paste link' function when I use 'paste special'. But my problem is that I also want to 'transpose' the data while copying. When I click the transpose function in the paste special window, the 'paste link' function no longer can be used. I just can't find a work around for this issue and maybe some one else knows can help me with this. p.s. does someone know a handy FREE tutorial on the i-net ...

links not updating
Hi I have two files. Data in File 1 is linked to data in file 2. I have both the files open. When I change a value in file 2, the data in file 1 should update automatically. This doesn't seem to be happening. I have to go to each cell and hit F2 for the update to happen. I've tried both F9 and Shift-F9. The calcuations are set to automatic but still it doesn't update uatomatically. Any idea what is happening? Thanks Utkarsh Do you have calculation set to automatic (tools|Options|calculation tab)? If yes, are you sure you have both workbooks open in the same instance of excel? ...

Linked Table Manager is empty
I have access 2007 and the Linked Table Manager is empty. How do I activate this feature? Anyone? i think u should press F1 to ask for help Do you currently have any Linked tables? If No: The Linked table manager will only display tables that have already been linked. To create a linked table in prior versions was File>GetExternalData>Link. Not sure what the sequence is in 2007. If Yes: You got me. I have no idea why it would be blank. Re run installation or try to do a repair would be my first thoughts. -- HTH, George "Dazz" <Dazz@discussions.m...
