Sufficient Permissions to run Rule?

I have a new computer, running XP Home (I have Pro, but I've not upgraded
yet). I have installed 2003, under an admin account, and set up the same
rules I had on the old one. My ISP marks spam *** SPAM *** to make it easy
to filter, so I simply defined a rule to permanently delete any mail marked
as such. On my old Dell, it worked like a charm (it ran Pro), but it's just
caught something and an error box popped up informing me I don't have
sufficient permissions to perform this action (permanently deleting, I
assume it meant, as it moved the message to the junk mail folder). Is there
a setting I've overlooked?

What are the permissions it's looking for and how do I set them?

Thanks

XP runs cmd.exe in dos window?
When I boot up Windows XP, it gets to showing the desktop, but the a Dos window pops up that tells me it's running cmd.exe from the sys32 directory , before disappearing again. Permissions needed to edit labels
I have a user who is a calendar delegate with Editor permissions to her boss' calendar; they both use Outlook 2003. She wants to edit the labels in his calendar, but that function is grayed out. It appears to me you have to have Owner permissions to a calendar in order to edit the labels. Since our security department will not allow that I was wondering if there is a lesser permission that would work; I have not been able to find it however. Nevermind; I found the answer in the Calendaring queue; only the owner can edit their labels. Fair enough; but it would be nice if i...

How to grant permission to someone to add/remove folder in Outlook
Hi, I was asked how to add someone to a list so that the person would add/remove folder from a public folder list. I was told it had been done in outlook but I cannot find anything resemble to security/permission which allow to me to add either a user name or in a group such as user or administrator to check boxes for permission. Anyone would point me to the direction to start off ? Many thanks Smiley The administrator can set it through ESM or the owner of the folder can do it through Outlook. I have been using rules along with PopFile to control my spam. Every time I open Outlook 2002, the rules are not applied until I use the Run Now option in the Rules Wizard. Two Domains
Due to a company merger we have two Active Directory forests and one Exchange 2003 server - the problem is that I can not share a mail box or contact list between users. I get an access denied if I try to share the mail box with an other user. When I try and trust the two ADs I get errors on the RPC server? Trouble with permissions in public folders
I am using Outlook 2000 on an Exchange Server and am having trouble with the permissions in a public folder. It is a Contacts folder and when I set some people's permissions to read only it doesn't work. I do not want certain people to be able to create, modify and delete any entries. I thought I set the permissions correctly but yet it doesn't work. How can I accomplish this? Thanks. Is the folder a subfolder of a PF to which the users don't have any rights? Reviewer rights should be enough - for both, in that case. Sandi wrote: > I am using Outlook 2000 on an Exc...

Configure macro to run on all sheets Excel 2k7
I have some simple code that selects a cell, enters a value, selects some more cells and enters a formula. When i follow suggestions to configure the code to run on all worksheets I cannot get it right. What it does is run the code on the active sheet as many times as there are sheets. So it's looping but not going on to the next sheet. Can someone tell me what I have wrong? I have included the code that works (for the active sheet only) and the code i think would work but won't. Ghost image sufficient as fallback strategy during in-place upgrade?
Hello, I want to do an upgrade of a w2k server running e2k to e2k3. The server is the sole Exchange server in the organisation and only has about 40 users. What I'd like to do is simply stop Exchange, ghost the whole server and do an in-place upgrade. I don't intend upgrading the server to w2k3. My question is will restoring the ghost image be sufficient to roll-back in case of problems? I presume the e2k3 AD modifications would not interfere with e2k. Thanks in advance for your advice. - Alan. On 19 Jan 2006 10:45:00 -0800, "Alan" <email.helpline@gmail.com> wrote...

VB6 and Start->Run
Hello, We've all used the RUN in XP. When you just type in a program name the control acts like a combobox. But. When you type in \\servername\ the drop down appears to be a custom listbox sort of thing that gets updated each time a "\" is typed in. So I'm trying to simulate this in a VB6 program and looking to see if anyone has already done that or might shed some light on any sample code. Any help would be appreciated.
