Outlook 2000 will not open #2I have a user who's Outlook freezes when opened. I
changed the pst file that was being accessed and Outlook

whatever Outlook you access the file from. The InBox

Migrating SBS 2003 to 2008 Standard R2
I am having some issues migrating SBS2003 to a 2008 Server R2 standard.
I have transferred all FSMO roles over to the 2008 Server. As well as,
DHCP and DNS. There is no need for me to setup or migrate Exchange
settings since my client is no longer using exchange. When I shut off
the SBS 2003 Server. AD on the 2008 Server errors out. Basically it's
saying that the domain cannot be located or that it does not exist. So
there is obviously something that I have forgotten. Any help on this
would be greatly appreciated. Also it doesn't look like the SYSVOL
Folder has transferred ...
Excel 2000 and SaveAsRunning Excel 2000 using VBA. Have 2 workbooks open.
Using VBA can create a 3rd workbook, copy sheets from 1 of
the open workbooks to 3rd, then activate 3rd workbook.
When trying to save book3 using SaveAs however, Excel
closes the 3rd book without saving it and renames 1 of the
original books to new name and saves it.
Any insights would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeanne
Hi Jeanne,
Maybe there's only one sheet on the first workbook and you're moving it and
not copying.
Verify this and, if you don't have success, post your code here for me or
other people analyzes it.

Is there a way (I can't think of it aside from manually doing) to have
a rule that will work, like forwarding, but only when the Outlook is
CLOSED.
You can easily guess that this person as a Blackberry but does not
want to get the mails while in Outlook, either locally or remotly.
Thanks to any and all that will point me to an answer, whatever it may

Exchange very slow over high latency networksAttachment downloads from an Exchange server to a PC using IMAP is very
slow.
A network trace shows that Exchange sends bursts of data (8KB or about
5 TCP packets) then sits and waits for the TCP ACKS before sending any
more data. This is blocky and slow as the ACKs take a while to get back
to Exchange due to the high latency.
So attachment downloads are very slow compared with protocols that send
lots of data packets (FTP, HTTP) and use the TCP window size.
Does anyone know about this - a fix to Exchange would be ideal?
Exchange Version is 2000.
I of course meant MAPI not IMAP...

Rules in ErrorI have a number of rules in place to reduce spam by
permanently deleting certain messages upon their arrival
based on content. But every day the "Rules in Error"
window pops up with the message "You don't have
appropriate permission to perform this operation" and the
applicable rule is deactivated from that point on. This
seems to occur randomly for no particular reason. If I
subsequently run the rule manually, the messages are then
deleted.
Is there a way to stop this?

Rules exceptionHere's a strange one:
I have a client who is part of a larger organzation. They're
constantly getting e-mails from "HQDA Exchange Administrator" that the
larger organization is sending around to everyone. My users want to
simply ignore these e-mails as they rarely have anything to do with

There really is no one definitive place to do this, we have some articles

266367 Exstensible Storage Engine 98 Error Codes -1051 to -999999

Can't update Publisher in Office 2000 CD2I have kept Office 2000 Professional CD1 updated, now to SP3. Recently

How else can I update?
And if I cannot do so, what is the most serious shortcoming?

Create windows for XP?2000
Hi,
I am new to VC.
Can I use CSplitterWnd class to create windows(in explorer style split
windows) for use in Win-XP/2000.
Please help me.
Thanks,
Charlie.
Yes, you can, it shouldn't be any different from what you did for pre-2000
OSes like 95/98. MSDN documentation outlines the steps you need to take.

CRM Client without Email router on the Exchange serverHi,
IS it possible to install CRM client on the client PC without installation
of email router at Exchnage server? will it work or not? Can we send CRM
emails from outlook or not?
best regards,
Danish
The router on exchange is used to route emails to the CRM platform server.
As part of the install the rule deployment tool is also installed.
This tool makes it wasy to deply the forward to crm Mailbox rule needed to
send emails into CRM Platform

Help! Exchange 5.5 logon failureHi all,
We recently upgraded our NT domain to Windows Server 2003
Active Directory (Native Mode).
While in the process of upgrading our Exchange 5.5 / SP4 server
(running on NT4/SP6) to Exchange Server 2003 (Enterprise Edition,
running on Windows Server 2003), we noticed that our users
can no longer logon to the server using either:

- Microsoft Outlook clients (XP or 2003)
Please note that if we supply the credentials of the Exchange 5.5 Service
account during authentication (on the pop-up dialog box), the logon
process succeeds!
In addition, POP3/SMTP clients (e.g. Outlo...
