Routing Documents for Review

Hello!

When I choose "send to" > "mail recipients for review" the document becomes
an attachement to the email and I would like to have a link to the document
where it is saved on our network.

Please help me be able to change this default so that a link is provided
instead of the attachement, or even better...how can I get prompted to
choose link or attach the file in case I want to send outside of our
network....?

TIA for your help!

Hi Raymond-

Your request suggests that you are at crossed purposes. The point of "for
Review" is so the reviewers are _not_ modifying the original. If you just
want them to revise it, simply send them an email indicating where they can
access the file on the network. A link can be tricky because the path from
each system may differ.

Your choice of link or attach is what is in the menu. AFAIK you can't list a
series of recipients in a single email message and attach to some and not to
others. The attachment is to the message & goes to all recipients of that
message. It may seem like extra work, but each group has to be handled
individually... although you may have features within your email software to
automate the process at least a little. Even if not, two messages is still
seems faster than going down a list and picking who gets what.

protecting documents
Is there any way to lock only certain parts of a document? Can a select group edit what was locked in word 2007? Hi ye, Simple: Insert Section breaks before/after the portions you want to protect, then protect only the relevant Sections. On the Forms Helper, go to 'Editing Restrictions', choose 'filling in forms', then click on 'Select Sections' and uncheck the Sections to leave unprotected before enforcing the protection. -- Cheers macropod [Microsoft MVP - Word] "y e" <y e@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:2A77E6DA...

Inserting Word Count in a document
Hello, I know there is a word count tool in Microsoft Word, but is there any way that number can be inserted in the document anywhere, i.e. the header or the footer? Thanks! Insert the NUMWORDS field where you want the word count. Note that this field (like most fields) won't update automatically. If you choose to insert it in the header or footer, you can update it by switching to Print Preview and then back to your favorite view. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "MacNut2004" <MacNut2004@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:C41...

Folks, I am having problems routing mail within a routing group.. Any ideas Regards Hi, Perhaps you can be a bit more specific? Saving Outlook folders into word documents
Does anybody know if or how you can save all messages in an outlook folder as seperate word or text documents into a folder on your c: drive without saving each one individually? Document Drawing
Hi, I am currently writing an application, in some ways similar to Visio or other similar drawing packages. The document could potentially contain many objects, with largely varying physical' locations. I would also like to be able to zoom in and out of the view. I did use CScrollView (this is the kind of functionality I require), and was creating a memory bitmap to draw the objects too before bit blitting in CScrollView::OnDraw() (among other things to stop flicker). However, for large CScrollView areas (ie x = 5000, y = 5000) this does not work, this is only a guess but would it be b...

Highlighting commented text in document body
I am running Office 2004 11.1.0 In Office X, text with comments would show up with a pale highlight. However with Office 2004, the text with comments only show up with tiny square brackets: This is the document body, [this is commented text in the doc]. The problem is that when I view a page in Normal view (where balloons do not show), it is all but impossible to see which text has comments. I can open the reviewing pane but this takes up valuable window real estate. It seems counterintuitive that there are configurables for showing inserted and deleted text, but none that enable comme...
