Restrictions

All of a sudden I am no longer able to click on hyperlinks embedded within
email and get an error message "THIS OPERATION HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO
RESTRICTION IN EFFECT ON THIS COMPUTER. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SYSTEM
ADMINISTRATOR."
I haven't knowingly changed anything but some other program may have. How do
I get back to normal?

Sending restrictions per user/group
I have a SBS2003 server, with Exchange 2003. I need to configure sending restrictions per user/group, i.e., this user can send mail only to these inside/outside address mails, other user only to another group of inside/outside address mails, etc. I read some posts about restrictions, and I think that I have to configure more than one SMTP connectors, each one with a group of outside address mails accepted, and with a group of users that send mail through it. Is this correct? Is there another way to configure this? Thanks in advance, -- Francisco Varona de Miguel Analista de Sistemas Eurosi...

Restrict users from entering duplicate items on POE
We have integrated Great Plains with Warehouse Management system which allows us to scan in PO receivings. Great Plains allows Users to enter duplicate items (skus) on a Purchase Order. Duplicate line items interfere with PO receivings and cause problems which are very frustrating and time consuming to resolve. So we would like the option of restricting dups. Thanks. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Restricting drives for System Restore
For some reason, System Restore includes other drives than the system boot drive in its "monitoring" status, even though I turn them off. They stay turned off for awhile, but then, for unknown reasons, start being monitored again. This is especially annoying, because I have to keep watch for it, as if I have nothing better to do. Is there anything I can do to make it monitor just one drive, and never ever look at the others? (Normally I wouldn't bother, but in this case all the other drives are external USB drives, that may be here, or may not be, and there...

Licence Restrictions & Font Embedding
Hi, Our company has a corporate font that we use in all our literature. I need to be able to embed the font within the document to make life easier when it's passed around for review and sent to the printer. I've turned on font embedding. Publisher informs me that this font may not be embedded. The help file puts this down to licence restrictions. However, when I downloaded the Microsoft extension (http://www.microsoft.com/typography/TrueTypeProperty21.mspx) to view licence and embedding information for each font, I found the following: 1. Editable embedding is allowed, so long as t...

Script to restrict users ability to login
I am looking for a script which we can run to effectively restrict all 'non-administrative' users from logging into GP at certain times. We have all transactions flowing into GP through integrations, and in the case of a failure of these integrations, I need a way to stop all users from logging into GP until the failure is found and rectified and the systems are back 'in balance'. I would then like to run another script to replace the previous security settings, thereby allowing all users the ability to login again. Does anyone have any ideas how this could be accompli...

Restrict user access to certain accounts
How can I restrict access to specific G/L accounts i.e. Fixed Assets? I would like to limit who can post transactions to our Fixed Assets accounts. Currently anyone can post a transaction to any of our Fixed Assets accounts and this has created problems with our Schedule of Fixed Assets. Account level security would probably be your best bet. How to extend Sise Restriction Messages to POP Exchange clients ?
Hi, I have a 2000 Exchange Server, and about 300 mails accounts. I set the system to restrict the size of outgoing messages to 3 Mo. 50% of these clients are Full Exchange client under Outlook 2000, and when they send messages bigger than 2 Mo, they have an automatic message like: "Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients. Subject: Test Sent: 7/18/2002 2:40 PM The following recipient(s) could not be reached: Test Recipient on 7/18/2002 2:41 PM This message is larger than the current system limit or the recipient's mailbox is full. 2003 Minimum rights to create an id and restrict access to Mailbox Rights
I have been trying to determine the absolute minimum rights required to allow specified users to create new accounts and mailboxes but not have the permissions to be able to then grant themselves access to that mailbox. My testing was done using a test account within a single OU. The test account was only given the "right" to create and delete users within that particular OU object (and any child objects) using the Advanced permissions page of that OU. It was also given the following special permissions to "User Objects" (again within that OU's advanced properties): O...

Restricting receipt of Internet Mail
Hi - I have been reading through the discussions on this sight about restricting internet incoming and outgoing email. I was successful restricting the outgoing mail following the KB article. However, I'm not having as much luck following the article as far as restricting receipt of external mail. It looks like the KB article assumes you are using Windows 2000. We are using Windows 2003 small business server. I do not have the ADSIEDIT tool they are referring to and cannot find it on our cds. Also, if I skip this step I do not see the "Group Membership" field it ref...

Restricting Rows
Excel 2000- Is there a way to allow different users to see only their rows in a community spreadsheet based on "their" ID being located in a particular column. Simple example: 20 rows in sheet. 5 users have 4 rows each in sheet. Column A has NT User ID for each user. I want each to see only his rows and NEVER be able to see the others. I get the user logon from NT so I know who opened and can use VBA code to apply a filter. But there are some many ways for a user to Unfilter to see all rows. Any ideas? Restrict email transmission

Restrict sending out only to specific outside addresses
Hello, (How) is it possible to configure Exchange, so that members of certain AD groups in our company, could only send e-mails internally AND to a predefined outside recipient list? No other e-mailing outside of company would be possible. Is that in Exchange 2007? Mantvydas Hi, You have to create a new connector, put the desired group in the delivery restriction and add desired domain name in the address space. This will restrict members of that group to send message internally and to the specified domain name in address space. Regards, Bijan "Mantvydas" wrote: > H...
