Password not requestested for Exchange access

We have users that log onto one domain for most network
access, but sometimes need to access their Exchjange data
on a separate domain. For quite a while , when starting
Outlook, it would require the user to enter their
username, password, & domain - at this point they would
enter the username information and alternate domain, and
would then be authenticate. Now, some users (after
supposedly changing nothing!!) are starting Outlook, and
it is going to a blank inbox. When they click
Send/Receive, it says they do not have access rights to
the mail folders/messages.

For example, let's they log into domain X with username
JDoe. When they want to access email on a different
domain, they would typically try to log into domain Z
with username John.Doe. Outlook is trying to access
John.Doe's email on the Z domain with the JDoes account
from the X domain.

How do I get it to start asking for a username again?

Move mailbox from Exchange 2000 Stnd to Exchange 2003 Enterprise
Can mailboxes/public folders be moved from Exchange 2000 Standard to Exchange 2003 Enterprise? Yes. If your current hardware can accommodate Exchange 2003, then a simple upgrade will do the trick. Otherwise if you are using new hardware then you will have to do some migration, but the bottomline is that it can be done without much fuss. web exchange login dialog
Hi All Not sure which group to ask this in but here goes. I have inherited a Domain that has had a poor maintenance history. Needless to say I am slowly getting things worked out with new servers and software. One thing really bothers my users is this: When they go to exchange web and are prompted for login credentials they are prompted to login to a domain controller that no longer exists. This server used to host exchange but has long been demoted and removed. It was up though when we installed Exchange 2003. Could there be some imported ids or something that has this info? W...

Keep user passwords
Hi! We've just finished installing a new Exchange server and connecting it to a separate DC. We used to have everything on the same server but we'd like to be able to scale our solution better in the future - therefore the new setup. Users are primarily connecting to Exchange by means of RPC over HTTP from clients that are not part of our AD. The old setup allowed users to save passwords if they configured their clients to use NTLM authentication and followed the directions in this article: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;820281. This worked both for RPC...

Spreadsheet password protection
How do you password protect a spreadsheet. I can't find anything in the help section. You can prevent un authorised access by giving a password to open the workbook itself, so that no one else can open it (Go to Tools, Options and then Security Tab). You can do it there if you have already saved the file, or you can go to "save as" then "Tools" and "General Options" where you can give password. On the other hand you can protect work sheets and ranges for different people by using "Tools" and then "Protection" Tab -- M Imran Buha...
