Outlook 2007 rules problem? CC problem?
Okay, I'm relatively new to Outlook 2007 or Outlook in general, but I've been asked to solve a problem because they think I know what I'm doing.... :-) I installed 2007 on this computer recently and one of our know-it-all people reconfigured it for me somehow. The computer was set up so that it would receive emails from 2 different email accounts (user 1 & 2). Problem is, when an email is sent to user 1 and cc'd to user 2, user 1 gets two copies of the email and user 2 receives none. This is done with no rules applied. Now, Mr. know-it-all created a rule that would send the emails to his inbox. When I apply the rule, send an email to user 1 and cc to user 2, user 2 gets two copies and user 1 receives none. Can someone please explain what other setting could be the root of this problem? Is there a bug somewhere or is there some other setting that needs to be addressed? Thank You.

outlookmvpHi Diane: Well. here's the story of what we're trying to accomplish. We have a salesman and he has his own customer service rep. He has set up her computer with separate email accounts (his and hers) with different user names and passwords so that she can get emails from both accounts. Her account, by itself, has it's own inbox and works fine. His account, by itself, also works fine with his own inbox. Now, when an email is sent to her and CC'd to him, he gets two emails and she gets none. If this is the case that both emails are going into the same inbox as you say, (and it appears that it is quite possible), how would I be able to direct them appropriately? Another weird thing is she has no junk mail folder but he does and only HIS junk mail gets to that folder. I have no idea where hers is going. problem with signature
I am trying to create a simple signature for my HTML mails, with a link to my website.I want it to be a hover link, no underline. I have made a very simple HTML in Dreamweaver, and all the appropriate attributes and styles are set via CSS. It looks and works fine on my browser. Hello. I copied my PST file from my D: drive to my F: drive. I then went into "Data File Management" to get the new location recognized and to have all future mail sent to that location. After doing this, my custom settings, like new folders, date settings, columns, etc, are all back to their default settings. Just starting using Outlook 2003. When composing an email, when go to address the note, it appears that there are 2 Contact files - 1 is "blank" and the other has lots of my contacts. It is the latter contact file that I enabled to use as my address book. Initially address book comes up the first one and I get error message. Last week she reported that every time she tried to attach a file to an outlook email, she received a dialog asking her if she wanted to start the debugger. Create a folder; Create a rule that moves new mails to that folder; Happy as larry. When a new mail arrives, outlook shows a blue numeric value next to the folder to indicate unread messages. However, if you add another folder to the folder created above, ie a sub folder and create a rule to move new email, you have to have the tree fully extended to be informed of a new email. I have an office where we are noticing that if we look in Vista Mail that MS outlook 2007 has missed many emails. Program restarts and reboots don't seem to correct the problem, and both programs are using the same IMAP settings. Outlook 2003 Contact data
Just starting using Outlook 2003. When composing an email, when go to address the note, it appears that there are 2 Contact files - 1 is "blank" and the other has lots of my contacts. It is the latter contact file that I enabled to use as my address book. Initially address book comes up the first one and I get error message. Then I toggle to the second one and all the names are accessible. How do I get rid of the one that appears blank, so only one contact file appears when I go to address an email? outlook 2003 memory leak? /messages display as"none" and eats up memory
Hi there; When a certian user opens outlook, and clicks on sort by size, half of her e-mails disappear, and "none" is displayed. She said this happened to her at home, except she was on her normal view which is sort by date. The only way that I can recreate the problem is to click on sort by size. If you click on one of the "none's" or even hover the mouse over it, the memory will spike up! I had the performance tab open while I was doing this, and the memory being used was read at 1.46 GB! Outlook 2002/XP Folder List view question
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I have a user still using Outlook XP and has the following issue. Outlook does not remember the folder view settings. User has folders under the Inbox folders and of those folders some are expanded and some are collapsed. When he closes Outlook it does not "remember" the folder settings. The user would like for Outlook to remember the settings because it has in the past. Is there a way I can get this back? Thanks ...
Debugger comes up when attaching files to Outlook 2002
I have a pro bono non-profit client running win xp sp3 & ms office pro. Last week she reported that every time she tried to attach a file to an outlook email, she received a dialog asking her if she wanted to start the debugger. It never allows her to attach the file and if she goes through with starting the debugger, she gets a variety of errors... never a repeating error. Anyone have any experience with this error? A rule that places a new email in a sub Folder doesnt get displayed
Create a folder; Create a rule that moves new mails to that folder; Happy as larry. When a new mail arrives, outlook shows a blue numeric value next to the folder to indicate unread messages. However, if you add another folder to the folder created above, ie a sub folder and create a rule to move new email, you have to have the tree fully extended to be informed of a new email. Is there a way to see if an new email has been sent to a sub folder without having the tree list expanded? Outlook 2000 #147
Outlook 2000 Everytime I open outlook I receive error: Outlook generated error and will be closed by windows. I can open in safe mode and I can also open in express. I have tried renaming extend.dat file, removed checks from add-in tab and changed profiles. I have even tried re-installing. Can anyone help me. MDI childframe problems
To create a maximized mdi child frame I tried this: BOOL CChildFrame::PreCreateWindow(CREATESTRUCT& cs) { if( !CMDIChildWnd::PreCreateWindow(cs) ) return FALSE; if (IsWindow(m_hWnd)) { ShowWindow(SW_SHOWMAXIMIZED); } return TRUE; } The window is opened maximized but the minimize/maximize/close buttons are missing. Outlook 2003
Just upgraded from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003. Everything seems to be working OK !! BUT ! On the Outlook Today screen no images are shown. If I go into the customise option, there are no images shown for the various styles. Also any changes I make in Outlook today options are not saved.. Any Ideas ??? ...
Outlook 2007 Missing Mail
I have an office where we are noticing that if we look in Vista Mail that MS outlook 2007 has missed many emails. Program restarts and reboots don't seem to correct the problem, and both programs are using the same IMAP settings. Is there a "helpful" little option in Outlook that prevents it from looking a all email receieved to an account?
