I have a very large Word document where, everytime I open it, Word
recalculates the number of words in the document, and runs and runs and runs,
until it finally "counts" all the words (at least, that's what I think it's
doing) and opens the document. Is there a way to turn off that Word Count
function?? This can take several minutes, and it even recalculates (and
waits) if I just save what I've revised so far and then want to continue
editing, which is verrrry annoying. Thanks.

when the macro is initiated all it will do it to insert in the active cell a
symbol of a specific color and bold text. There will be about 30 different
macros for users to choose from, since there will be about 30 different

After a BSOD crash last night while Money 2007 Home & Business was open, I
can no longer run Money 2007 at all. I get the "Microsoft Money has
encountered a problem and needs to close" before it even gets to the point of
asking me for a password to load my Money file. It does the same thing if I
try start it by double-clicking on the sample .mny file, so I don't think
it's a corrupt .mny file.
I even went so far as to uninstall Money and reinstall and it didn't help.

I've been struggling for a while with this one and can't seem to find a
solution. I want to plot some series in a column chart, with values ranging
from 3E-18 to 8E-18. However, after plotting the chart, the vertical axis
does not display the numbers; only 0 at the bottom with empty space up the
rest of the left hand side.
Is it because the numbers are so small? Nothing I change in format axis
seems to alleviate this problem and I have plotted the same graph in Excel
2003 previously without a problem.

Word has a facility to pull together multiple documents
into one "master" document. I have 120 separate workbooks
that need to be grouped and printed in specific orders.

save letters to for different people. I now find that when I plug in an
extension drive it won't let me save to that drive saying" You do not have

I am trying to archive my 2007 records as I have done every year. This year I finally got my 401(k) into Money. The problem
is when I ask Money to archive to clear out 2007 the list of accounts to archive does not list my 401(k) at all. So I select all
accounts I can and then in the cleaner file with only 2008 in it all of my paychecks from 2007 still remain in my register
(I'm assuming because the 401(k) is still attached to them and if they disappear things won't balance). Is there something

Outlook won't open, gives message to run repair tool. Repair tool won't run,
says pst file is in use. Dug into where it might be in use - says it's open
in System. Doesn't help me... how to I close it so I can run the repair tool
and change the auto-delete function on deleted emails?

In Excel 2003, one could select a cell, highlight a part of the contained
text string and then right-clidk and format text. I could get underlining,
bold, font, color, etc.
For some reason, with Excel 2007, I can do the same, but when I hit the
