Network password prompt in Outlook 2003

I just got a new Dell computer - running Windows XP and
Microsoft Outlook 2003 (no, not Outlook Express, OUTLOOK -
even though the technicicans at Dell do not believe me,
and cannot support 2003).
I have 3 user profiles set up on Windows - one for each
member of my family. Thus I set up 3 email accounts -
each one with its own email profile using our ISP:
ameritech.net. I am using a DSL connection I got from
Ameritech.
My email works fine - it connects and sends and
receives. However - for the other 2 email accounts, no
matter how I configure them (and I have tried everything,
no thanks to any technicians at Dell or Ameritech, as
each wants to blame this on the other), I get a dialogue
box that prompts for a network ID and password. I have
no network set up, and there is no password or lack
thereof that it will sem to accept. So neither of the
other 2 accounts will send or recieve becasue they are
blocked by this inane message.
I have found that people are having similar but no
identiacal problems (see
http://www.newmediamusings.com/blog/2003/02/outlooks_deman
d.html, and Microsoft's own
http://office.microsoft.com/assistance/preview.aspx?
AssetID=HA011142741033&CTT=4&Origin=CH010422611033   and
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=290684

These describe more of a situation where a password is
not retained - however my problem is that there never was
one, and that it thinks I am on a network, I guess, when
I am not.
This is driving me nuts, Dell has been useless, and I am
about to set my old machine back up running an old
reliable version of Outlook express.

Can you password protect a folder?
Can a folder be password protected so that you don't need to password protect every file that is in the folder? Outlook 2003 folders
Hi, I have moved from Outlook 2000 to 2003, but the 2000 was a french version, and the 2003 is english, and I would like to change the names of the inbox and so on to be in english instead of french but I can't find out how to do that except by recreating the whole thing from start, which would mean that I'd loose everything. -- Thank you in Advance Merci a l'Avance Martin Try starting Outlook once with the /ResetFolders switch. How to set "Prompt for document properties" in Word 2007?
I want to make a preview of each Office document when I save it. In earlier versions, I could at least "Prompt for document properties". Not ideal, but it got the job done. In Office 2007, even that avenue seems to have been closed and I have to remember myself, AND do six hovers and clicks to navigate to the old Properties panel. Just select the file in the File Open dialog box with Preview selected as the View. Problems with Netword User Name and Password
I'm experiencing a problem with Outlook 2002. Since yesterday sometime, when Send/Receive is automatically generated, a prompt comes up to enter my network user name and password. No matter how many times I click ok, the prompt continues to come up. When I click on cancel, an error message comes up that says to verify my user name and password. I've been told by my DSL provider that it's a computer manufacturer or Microsoft issue. The computer manufacturer says it's a Microsoft issue and Microsoft says that it's a computer manufacturer issue, because the Outl...

Exchange 2003 MTA pooling

So for example, if I have 4 X.400 connectors with the same address space that go to different external MTAs, can I set the cost to 1 on all the connectors and Exchange will decide which connector to use? What are you connecting to on the remote side - Routing Groups within the same Org or external MTAs to external messaging systems? Outlook and Being Networked

Outlook 2007 locks up / freezes frequently
Sadly, as of Jan 2010, this issue persists with Outlook 2007.
