need advanced Outlook rules help please
Hello. I need an Outlook rule that looks for two phrases in the body of a message. I enter the first phrase to look for and then add the second phrase, it adds it as an OR statement instead of an AND statement. Is it possible to do this? So it looks for "thistext" AND "thistext"??? Second question: Is it possible (in a rule) to look for a phrase using a wildcard like an asterisk? For instance, a rule that looks for "FIRST NAME: M*" in an emailed form?? Thanks

I just sent a post asking for help because I can no longer send email with attachments. Hello. I copied my PST file from my D: drive to my F: drive. I then went into "Data File Management" to get the new location recognized and to have all future mail sent to that location. After doing this, my custom settings, like new folders, date settings, columns, etc, are all back to their default settings. Just starting using Outlook 2003. When composing an email, when go to address the note, it appears that there are 2 Contact files - 1 is "blank" and the other has lots of my contacts. It is the latter contact file that I enabled to use as my address book. Initially address book comes up the first one and I get error message. I have a pro bono non-profit client running win xp sp3 & ms office pro. Last week she reported that every time she tried to attach a file to an outlook email, she received a dialog asking her if she wanted to start the debugger. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I have a user still using Outlook XP and has the following issue. Outlook does not remember the folder view settings. User has folders under the Inbox folders and of those folders some are expanded and some are collapsed. When he closes Outlook it does not "remember" the folder settings. Create a folder; Create a rule that moves new mails to that folder; Happy as larry. When a new mail arrives, outlook shows a blue numeric value next to the folder to indicate unread messages. However, if you add another folder to the folder created above, ie a sub folder and create a rule to move new email, you have to have the tree fully extended to be informed of a new email. Is there a way to see if an new email has been sent to a sub folder without having the tree list expanded? Hi there; When a certian user opens outlook, and clicks on sort by size, half of her e-mails disappear, and "none" is displayed. She said this happened to her at home, except she was on her normal view which is sort by date. The only way that I can recreate the problem is to click on sort by size. If you click on one of the "none's" or even hover the mouse over it, the memory will spike up! I had the performance tab open while I was doing this, and the memory being used was read at 1.46 GB! It only allows copies to be moved to specific folders and not the actual mail itself - this creates unnecssary copies and makes everything confusing. Help pulling "pingable" IP of local machine into a variable
Ok, here's my need. I am writing a script that does a few things, but I'm having trouble just pulling the "production" IP address into a variable, to then use in the rest of the script. I've see plenty of scripts to ping remote hosts, but that's not what I need. i currently have a formula which reads '1'!J9, the 1 refers to a tab o the bottom of the screen. When i highlight this box and drag th formula down it changes to '1'!J10. i want the J9 to stay the same bu the tab reference to increase by one. I can lock the J9 function b using $J$9 but i cannot increase the tab reference by one PLEASE HELP Also is there a way i can freeze a tab on the bottom of the screen s my main tab does not dissapear when i scroll along the rest of th tabs. Hi, Is it possible to have two instances of Outlook running at the same time? Or maybe have two Outlook profiles accessable at the same time? I have two mail accounts and want to keep them seperate and want to use Outlook for both. But I don't know how so right now I'm using Outlook Express for one and Outlook for the other. Help pulling "pingable" IP of local machine into a variable
Ok, here's my need. I am writing a script that does a few things, but I'm having trouble just pulling the "production" IP address into a variable, to then use in the rest of the script. I've see plenty of scripts to ping remote hosts, but that's not what I need. I've also worked up a few scripts on my own, but they all pull every IP on the machine, or require you to know the intenal ID of the NIC interface you need queried. The issue with this is that the ID is assigned randomly, and it's something you just have to know. I'm rather new at VBSc...
