MDBdata folder problemI came in this morning and the Exchange 2000 server would not start. I
noticed that the MDBdata folder contained 50gig of data, so I deleted all
the .log files that started with E and restarted the Exchange server.
Everything seems to be working fine. I then read in this newsgroup that it
is a bad idea to delete those files manually.
I have two questions:
1. Will I run into problems now that I have deleted those files manually?
2. a 5 meg log file is created every 2 minutes. Is there a way I can
reduce the frequency of these log files?
thanks for your advice.

Can't open files from a different version saved to 2000 formatHi,
I am having problems opening a file sent to me by someone using Publisher
2003. I have Publisher 2000. She saved to the 2000 format, but it says that I
cannot open files from a different version. The document shows up in the
preview area, but will not open. She even tried to save it to the 98 format,
but it still will not open.
Any ideas?

File locations #3This is so frustrating!
I have a list of where Outlook files are supposed to be but a couple of

The list says that Rules can be found under c:\Documents and Settings

Nope, not on my computer and I have a lot of Rules set up so I know
there should be a file (when I do a file search for *.rwz, there are no

Also, I can't find my custom dictionary with the auto-corrects that
I've entered. Help? It's not in the custom.dic file under c:

Attachment Limits in SP2I have two clients that have begun to experience attachment size errors after
we applied Exchange 2003 SP2. In both cases I cannot find anywhere on the
server where an attachment or message size limit is expressly set. Both
servers have been in production for several years, first as Exchange 2000
then upgraded to 2003. Neither server had a size limit issue until SP2 was
applied. Was anything changed in SP2 that would affect size limits of either
the message size or attachment size?
Thanks,
Joe
There was nothing in SP2 that should cause this. Have you looked

you can delete it.

Moving Exchange 2000Hi,
I have a exchange 2000 server running on windows 2000 which I need to move
onto a new server/hardware but cannot find techincal documents telling me
how to do this. The only documents I can find are on disaster recovery which
doesnt seem to cover moving exchange across onto new hardware. Does anybody
have some a document ???
Also I would like to run exchange 2000 on server 2003, I'm guessing that
this won't be a problem to move it onto new hardware running server 2003 ??
Kind Regards

Read Receipts won't move to 'delete bin' after processingVery simply, my read receipts won't move to 'delete bin' after they are processed. This doesn't seem like a complex process. The tracking option allows me to either turn this rule on or off. What else am I supposed to do? I have receipts all over the place and I end up deleteting them manually.
Hy,
You have to delete it by yourself. It wont work with a
rule.

VBA code could not find fileI am using the code shown as an example in the help files and when run, it
cannot locate the file.
Dim dbsProjects As Database
Set dbsProjects = OpenDatabase("Projects.mdb")
Why can VB not find the open database?
Try putting the full path to Projects.mdb, rather than just the file name.
That statement would only work if Projects.mdb happens to be in whatever
folder is the current directory. Predicting what Access considers to be the
current directory can be difficult: it depends on how you opened the
application.

Move mailbox rights in Exchange 5.5 #2What is the most restrictive set of rights that would allow an administrator
to move mailboxes between 2 servers in the same site? Providing the
administrator an admin role on the Servers container, on each server, or on

Yes it is. However when you move them they will lose their security role so

Processing large files with TextFieldParserASP.net 3.5/SQL Server 2008
