Help! Outlook email issue..
In our office we use Outlook 2003 on a LAN. For some reason, three of our outlook programs will not retain a password and none of us have been able to receive email for days. I'm stumped, I cannot figure this one out. We are heavily dependant on email and Outlook for our cases. Help! I've not seen an error message, and our servers are just fine.

Hi - I see several posting out here now similar to yours and to the one I posted this morning - this has to be a bug in Outlook 2003. Her is the gist of my similar issue, and note that it contains some info I have found on the web on a couple of sites and on Microsoft - in case you have not seen those - at least you can know that you are not alone - I am going to pester Dell and Microsoft till I get this figured out... Theresa **************************************** I just got a new Dell computer - running Windows XP and Microsoft Outlook 2003. I have 3 user profiles set up on Windows - one for each member of my family. Thus I set up 3 email accounts - each one with its own email profile using our ISP: ameritech.net. I am using a DSL connection I got from Ameritech. My own email account works fine - it connects and sends and receives. However - for the other 2 email accounts, no matter how I configure them (and I have tried everything, no thanks to any technicians at Dell or Ameritech, as each wants to blame this on the other) I cannot get it to send/receive - I get a dialogue box that prompts for a network ID and password. I have no network set up, and there is no password or lack thereof that it will seem to accept. So neither of the other 2 Outlook accounts set up on this computer will send or recieve becasue they are blocked by this inane message. I have found that people are having similar but no identiacal problems (see http://www.newmediamusings.com/blog/2003/02/outlooks_deman d.html, and Microsoft's own http://office.microsoft.com/assistance/preview.aspx? I have contacted Ameritech and they had me delete and add the email acccounts (which I had already done before I even called them - duh, and then they told me the problem was with Outlook and that only Microsoft could help. Outlook crashes when typing recipient
Every time I try to send an email message in Outlook, it crashes as soon as I start typing in the recipient address. Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it? We have created a custom entity called Employee which has an email address as one of its fields. We would like to be able to select an employee record while creating an email activity. How do I add this entity to the list of entities to choose from in the To field in the email activity? You can't. The list of entities you can email to are set within CRM. Auto Archive problem
Hi All, We use Outlook 2003 Sp3. One of my users has this problem with the Auto Archive feature: certain folders of his mailbox don't get archived. The emails stay in these folders and others folders emails get moved to the PST file according to the Auto Archive settings. Even if I try to archive manually some of the forlers that don't work, nothing gets archived. What can I do with this? Regards, Are you aware that the Date used to archive is the Date Last Modified? I am in a progress to upgrade Exchange 5.5 (on NT4) to Exhange 2k3 (on 2k3). I setup a test machine and upgrade the OS to w2k3. 1st I want to connect the 5.5 to AD, so I should install ADC. I've only earned about two days of experience with this program so far, so here goes my first request... I have the Pro Suite 1.2 version of CRM and I've successfully setup a Queue User so that all emails that come to Support@***.com are automatically entered into CRM. Possible to set up a timer in Outlook?
I would like to have one of Outlook's reminders appear. Then, when I acknowlege it, I would like Outlook to, in effect, 'count down' until a certain period of time has elapsed, then pop up another reminder. In short, rather than a reminder that occurs at a specific time of day, I'd like a recurring reminder that only appears when a certain amount of time has elapsed after I manually acknowlege the last reminder. Cannot Read Emails in Public Folders
We have Exchange 2003 on Windows Server 2003 running in native mode. Client is Outlook 2003 There are two Public Folders that are e-mail enabled. I can send email to them and in Outlook I can see the list of mail items however when I (as administrator) go to open them I get the message Can't open this item. Unknown Error. The strange thing is yesterday, when I set up these folders and sent a test message to them - I could open them. Envelope not shown for new email in Outlook 2003 SP3
One of my users has a problem where the envelope does not show in the task bar next to the clock when new mail arrives in Outlook 2003 SP3. The settings are properly set - show an envelope icon in the notification area, display a new mail mail desktop alert. It did work for the longest time, now does not. I just installed Microsoft Office XP Professionaql with no problem. However, whenever I try to perform any task such as opening contacts area in order to create an entry, I receive a dialog box with Microsoft Outlook and a yellow exclamation point. Also, included in the dialog box are the words could not open the item, try again. Other information that might be important is that I use a pst file. Hi , I have been using LeadTools in Visual Studio 2005. I have a tabctrl and dialogs in each tab and developed using CFormView. So a tabCtrl is a child of CFromView and tab1 is a child of TabCtrl. HI ,all Is there someone can help me, My outlook is too slowly and it cost too many memory. I'm using outlook 2003 and CRM3 client. Problem with LeadTools CreateWindow inCFormView -Help !!!
Hi , I have been using LeadTools in Visual Studio 2005. I have a tabctrl and dialogs in each tab and developed using CFormView. So a tabCtrl is a child of CFromView and tab1 is a child of TabCtrl. I want to insert a LEAD control in one of the tabs .i.e, Dialog.I am unable to insert a leadcontrol but inserting a control in the view was easy.The problem is I am not able to get the HWND associated to a particular dialog which is super child of View.
