When trying to send an email , I get cannot send encrypted 
email  . there are no certificates found

   Continue will encrypt and send the message but the

1. Exit Outlook.

2. Rename the collection of .oab files in the user's 
\application data path.

3. Start Outlook online.

4. On the Tools menu point to Send/Receive and then click 
Download Address
Book.

5. After the address book has been downloaded try to send 
an encrypted message
(while still online).

6. If you are successful with the online sending of an 
encrypted message, exit
Outlook.

7. Start Outlook offline.

8. Verify that you can send an encrypted message.

When attempting to send a Encrypted e-mail message to a 
Recipient in the same 
Exchange Server organization, you receive the following 
error:
"Microsoft Outlook had problems encrypting this message 
because the following 
recipients had missing or invalid certificates, or 
conflicting or unsupported 
encryption capabilities"

When he following is true:

The Recipient has been issued more than one Digital ID 
and has since had those IDs 
revoked or expired.  They have not used Publish To GAL 
since receiving their latest 
Certificate.

CAUSE:
======
Invalid information exists in the directory for that 
recipient.  Certificates 
issued by a Certificate Server are automatically 
published to the Active Directory 
in the UserCertificate value.  Users may publish a self-
signed value to 
UserSMIMECertificate. 
To verify this, open the problem peerson's Global Address 
List entry - use the 
Address Book for this - and then click the Add 
to "Personal Address Book" button.  
This will open a new Contact.  Click the Certificates tab 
on the Contact.  If any 
certificates are present, verify that they are not Valid 
or currently in use..

No message in outbox
I tried to send a message with 1Mb attachment to 40 recipients in the bcc field. It gave me an error message from the isp's server, the message was NOT sent (I've checked), it did NOT arrive in Sent Items, but neither is it in the Outbox any more. Master Category List keeps reverting to default list
I have had the Master Category List revert to the default list several times now. This has happend at least 6 times since I upgraded to Office 2003 a year ago. This is annoying, as I have my own, different, list of categories that I use. For a long time I had a problem with my Send/Recieve function in Outlook. This happended in both Outlook 2000 and my current version - 2007. I just replaced our server hardware, upgraded to WS 2k3 Enterprise and created a new domain. I transferred the client files and desktop on our desk/laptop computers over to the new domain. We do NOT have Exchange installed yet, but use Outlook 2002 with the email etc. saved on the client. Hi, I downloaded my messages using the option "send and receive all". However, the "Show Progress" box indicates that I was also 'sending something'. But I had nothing to send!
