Retrieving Archived e-mail
Thanks in advance for your help: I recently switched
laptops and archived my email inbox and sent items for
easier transfer. I have tried to both open and import the
archieved items back into outlook, but without any
success. Any advice?

MS Word 2007 only auto completes days of the week part time. Why is this? For
instance in this example 'Tuesday and Wednesday' MS completed Tuesday but not
Wednesday. This happens all the time and would like to fix this.
In my case, they do autocomplete, but you have to type more characters of
Wednesday than of Tuesday.
Is this the only autocomplete issue you're having, or do you have more

Auto parts retailers have specific needs. Each part is usually linked to a
specific car model: Make, Model, year ...etc. And they need to lookup based
on the above criteria.
All I could find is that it is possible to implement RMS to autoparts but no
one has done it.
Way to complacated. there are a few big guys that do it and RMS can't
compeate. One reason is that they are also hooked up to suppliers and parts

Can anybody tell me how I can get teh "Releationship Type" on Contacts to
reflect the value on the "Releationship type" on the parent account? I have
some workflow routines, but that is not enough. I.E: a sales representative
set an account from value "prospect" to value "Customer" in the "Relationship
Type", then all associated Contacts to that Account should been updated (but
they are not).
How can I manage to get this functionality?

name from the user. I would like to have this feature:
when the user select different filter (different file type)
the extention of the file name should be automatically changed
to the select type, for example the original file name is
abc.ini, when the user change fitler to *.log, the filename
is then changed to abc.log.

We are considering archiving our records into Access. I've already made a
test table, then run a query to extract 5 fields. It is intended that people
will query the table by selecting one record, then displaying say the next
500 records and not necessarily from the first record. I'd like to do this
via a query so that it can be exported to Excel. Also, can I create a box on
a form so the user can select how many records he/she would like to see,
before the query is run?

For QA purpose I want to archive all emails received on a
particuliar project with other files related to that
project. I put the received emails into a project folder I
have then exported that folder to projects main folder,
for transfer to a CD. This creates a single pst file with
all the relavent emailsin it. The problem is searching and
retriving a relavent email, I cant open the the pst file,
ithought outlook would do this.

I am working in an Exchange 2003 environment, my clients use Outlook 2003.
Whenever I try to perform an archive of old emails, the structure is
exported, however no emails are being extracted. Its not the date I am
selecting either, that is valid.

want to set up a formula or something so when one of the main topics is

I am using Excel 2007. I have created a Scatter chart with straight lines
and markers. My data source consists of 100 rows of evenly spaced data
points (one column for the time the date/time the data points were taken, and

When an e-mail is deleted in an Outlook IMAP account, the message is
still displayed in the inbox with a line through it. Is there any way to set
the function, so that when a message is deleted, it actually is moved to the
Deleted Items folder like in a POP3 account?
No, the IMAP protocol has a different model of deletion than other types of
mail. You'll need to go to Edit -> Purge Deleted Messages to actually
delete the messages. You can use Tools -> Customize to add this command to
your toolbar to make it easier (that's what I do).
