Sounds like search is still messed up, I'd suggest you use a newsreader
to access these newsgroups instead of going through that problematic web
interface.

Exchang 5.5 Question
Hi, I'm currently runnning Enterprise, if I can trim and compact our database to go down below 16GB, can I restore the database to an Exchange Standard edition installation? Thanks TagaR hmmm...that's a good question. I have never heard of anyone wanting to do that, or trying it. I can't find anything on it...my first instinct would be to say no, but I am not 100% certain. are you going to do this in production? you might want to test it on a recovery server, first, to see what your results would be... REF error message when inserting new rows
A formula that is referencing the cell above returns a REF error message if a new row is inserted between the two. Is there a way to eliminate this problem without having to re-autofill? VB question
I would like some advice please. I am trying to learn VB6. I was recommended a very expensive book, Programming in Visual Basic 6.0. Before I decide to keep this book. I would like to know if the practice/examples in this VB book can be used in Microsoft Visual Basic Access 2003? Thank you for any advice. Sorry, I don't have a copy of the book, so I can't give a definitive answer. However, the language components of VB and VBA are very similar. The major problem you may run into is the fact that the controls available for forms in VB are quite different that for forms in Ac...

Newby CRM question
How do you create the 3 CRM databases if you are using a full recovery backup plan? I cant find an example & I want to make sure there isn't anything beyond the "obvious". I know very little about SQL Server. Thanks, Bill Bill, The CRM installation will automatically create the databases for you. The recovery plan shouldnt have anything to do with this. Once their created, you can verify the DB settings to make sure the recovery mode is set to Full, but that should be all you need. Was there something more you were looking for? newbie question
Hi, I just started using Money 2004 deluxe and to be honest this is the first time I use it so I have some basic questions that I tried to find answer without success. 1- I included a CC account, this is an old credit card and I don't know the starting balance of it, I just know the current balance. I downloaded the transactions from the bank and now I'm trying to balance it. What is the best way of doing it? I was trying to look for an option that let me especify the current balance and the software be capable of calculate the starting balance. 2- Last friday I downloaded a...

COM question
Hi all, I'm new to COM. My question is with a specific goal, but i guess this a general COM issue, so I hope some COM expert could help me. I developed a webbrowser based on the webbrowser activeX control. When I noticed that it doesn't respond to keys like tab, delete and others, i googled a bit and found that when adding the code below to the WinMain message handle loop it works. The important class is named BrowserWindow and it holds pointers to IWebBrowser2 interface and a CAxWindow object. My question: is it necessary to do in every round of the loop the queryInterface(), release(...

Bulk Import Question
I'm trying to import Leads with Bulk Import Wizard. Everything seems fine except that I can't pick the Target Field, it's greyed out. Is this because the header record contains exact field names? It looks like it is going to map to the wrong fields. The options that are grayed out are required fields set within your form. Are they on theleft hand column at the top of the list? -- Microsoft Small Business Specialist "dpace@newagedigital.com" wrote: > I'm trying to import Leads with Bulk Import Wizard. Keep CString from new()
I've read some papers from vcdj and msj that conclude CString is a wrapper class of string and acts like value type. But some dev resources such as codeproject and this groups contain some samples show "new CString(...)", especially when postmessage function involved. That's misleading. So is below code solid? UINT ThreadRun(LPVOID pParam) { CStringList LineList; ... for(POSITION pos = LineList.GetHeadPosition(); pos != NULL; LineList.GetNext(pos)) { ::PostMessage(hWnd, WM_USER_FILECOMPLETE, 0, (LPARAM)&LineList.GetAt(pos)); } return 0; } void CPageRun::OnFi...

Outlook 2003
Hi Hope someone can help with his. My father has Outlook 2003, and today he has found that emais are registering as being sent via "Send/Receive" but they are not appearing in his Inbox, or Junk mail. They have disappeared. I have now sent him 3 emails, he sees them arrive but then they are nowhere to be seen. So far I have talked through the fixes on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/253504/ - ie check for filters (there are none) and email accounts (set up correctly - we did a test message and it arrived in his email inbox no problem). He hasn't set up any rules, so wh...

Interesting observation: new SQL time machine! :)
This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0036_01CA6EC6.0898EBE0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Interesting observation: new SQL time machine! :) Run this several times and note that sometimes the first value is = greater than the second! I thought that these should be the same. I understand that it's due to the way datetime rounds to 3, 7 or 0. It is just interesting to note! Auto suggest
One of the features i like from Open Office, is the auto-suggest / auto-complete word as you type. Say for example i type accommo the program will show accommodation as an option and i just hit enter to make the choice accepted. Can Word do this too? It could through Word2003, and it's been reported that the feature was restored in Word2010. Although if you've already gotten as far as "accommo," that particular AutoCorrect doesn't do you much good, since in that word it's the number of c's and m's that's tricky, and how would it know wheth...

Crossing to New Year in Source Data
I have a chart based on attendance for the school year. It goes from 9/09 to 6/10. I have my data source chosen for the entire time frame, but the chart is only showing information until the end of 09 and won't continue into the new year. I have date labels on the bottom of the chart. Any ideas? Hi Susan. I have just plotted the dates that you mention (in EXCEL 2007) along my horizontal axis and am not seeing the problem that you are. Maybe try taking out the Data Labels and see if that makes any difference? Please hit Yes if my comments have helped. Thanks. ...

Your suggestion?
I'm writing a small program on Win32 MFC where user can login to do something. Now I would like to implement the automatic logout when the user is logged in and there was no mouse nor keyboard activity for e.g. 10 seconds? Since there is a lot WM_x messages that mouse and keyboard produces I could listen to it's to much work and probably not so elegant. Must I use keyboard and mouse hook for this or you think there is a better solution? How to know if my app was in idle time when it comes to user input? Thanks for help! archive pst question
If I list the archive folders in my folder list, does that negate the improvements in speed that I get from archiving in the first place? I mean, if outlook has to open those massive folders anyway, will that still slow it down, or is it okay because my main pst file is being kept smaller? Thanks. New e-mail chime alert but without new mail
I just upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista. I was using Windows Mail and now I'm using Windows Live Mail. I am sending and receiving e-mail just fine, however, I am also getting "ghost chimes". Meaning I get the chime sound that a new e-mail has arrived (exactly the same sound) only there's no new mail in my Inbox. It's driving me a little nuts. It's not junk mail. There doesn't seem to be any new mail at all arriving, just the chime sound periodically. Thanks for any help or suggestions! Are you sure there are no new messages? Check the setti...
