Starting Over #2

Old computer bit the dust, I have only my backup floppys
and the Money 98 CD. I've installed it (having removed
the Money 2002 program on the newer computer) but can't
figure out how to make it work. I tried dragging and
dropping, and the files appear to be in the folder, but
they have no effect on the program. What do I do now?

Thanks, JJ

Write-protect those floppies with the little slider.

Either do File->Restore from within Money, or, better yet, double
click the *d1.mbf file that is copied onto your hard drive. When you
do the restore, browse to your documents file rather than taking the
default.

Formula query #2
I am trying to identify a formula which will add and then display th number of times a number appears in a range. For example, the range looks like this .......A...........B............C 1...1110......1110.......1114 2...1110..... 1111.......1111 3...1111......1112.......1110 4...1111......1113.......1111 The numbers which appear in the applicable range e.g. 1110, could b any number between 1110 and 9999 and as such I cannot simply predefin which number to look for. I am hoping the output could like as follows: .......A........B 1....1110....4 2....1111....5 3....1112....1 4.....

Is it possible to have Outlook startup Mail in the folder last viewed rather than always in the InBox? You haven't stated which version you are running. Please do not assume that all versions are always the same or that we have amazing ESP skills You can select a folder for each time it starts as the default, but it stays on that setting until you change it. Need advice to start off a project
Hello! I have never really used Excel much but I have had an idea which could make some of the work I do a lot easier. I know Excel is powerful but I don't know the best way to approach it so can anyone out there help me? I make visits to places and record what kind of visit it was on a spreadsheet with the values in each cell being the date. At the bottom there is a summary box which shows, on each date, how many visits I made of each type. At the moment this is done manually but I am sure it can be done automatically only how? On a different sheet I would then like to have a summary of...

Default e-mail Problem #2
Hello, I have four XP Pro SP2 machines on a SBS 2003 with Outlook 2003 client installed and using the Exchange server 2003. Also each of the clients has a third party email account such as user.pop3mail.com setup in addition to Exchange server. My question is how do you get the default to stay set. The problem I have is I can set the default to the third party account, but, sometimes the default has changed back to the Exchange server mail account. This is only happening to 1 user. From what I have observed the user is using e-mail in a normal manner. I think the problem is on the user...

Running CHKDSK at start up
Is there a way to run chkdsk f/r on all five drives on one PC at start up? PC runs Windows XP Pro SP3. This way all drives would be checked and errors fixed, if necessary, in one go, at start up on this machine. We intend to do this on this heavily used PC from time to time - we do not need the desired chkdsk functionality to kick in at every boot! Regards and TIA. Followup:Add vertical line at intersection of 2 curves (Ping Andy Pope)
Okay, I've been hammering away at this for days now, and I *still* just do not get it. I've been _trying_ to use the user-defined function created by Andy Pope (http://www.andypope.info/charts/intersection.htm) to find all the intersecting points of 2 "lines" (actually xy scatter plots with visible markers) on a chart, and then create a vertical line (or multiple lines) on the chart at the intersection point (or points). I downloaded the intersection demo .zip file. I copied both procedures from the demo into my workbook. I changed all my column/field names to ma...

Can't Install Money 2004 Deluxe #2
I just got Money 2004 and can't get it to install. Inserting the CD gets me the message that Money requires the installation, from the CD, of several components...chief among them Internet Explorer 6, which I already have on my computer. Then a message appears telling me it can't complete the installation of these other components and that I should install IE6 directly using the IEsetup.exe from the CD. But that won't get me anywhere except back to a message that says to install MSMNY.exe from the CD. I'm going around in circles, and can't get free help from M...
