migration shut down the information store 5.5
I have two 5.5 and two 2003 sp1 exchange server all in the same admin group
and site. on one of the 5.5 server, i have all the mailboxes moved over to
one of my 2003 servers. I would like to turn off the information store on the
5.5 server that has all the production mailboxes moved over to the 2003
server, this way if anyone complains that they cant get into email, then i
know that the mailbox needs to get moved.
My questions are, by tunrning off the information store service on the 5.5
server, will this negatively effect the ADC replication? I have removed the

...Trouble shutting down
I am trying to figure out why my computer (XP/SP3) seems to have trouble
shutting down from time to time. Several days ago I shut it down. Or
thought I did. Obviously I was in a hurry and did not sit watching it for
the usual long time the shut down usually takes. Came back to restart it
today and at first I thought it had read my mind and started up on its own.
Then I realized it had never finished shutting down. Apparently a program
was not responding and Windows was asking me what did I want to do? A
question like this is probably even more inane of the things Windows ma...Shutting down

...PUBLISHER SHUTS DOWN #2
I am so frustrated! I am a newsletter designer and frequently when I am
working in Publisher it will say "Publisher needs to close." Many times it
happens when I have the newsletter almost completed. It asks if I want to
send an error report. Even if all the information has been saved at the point
of this happening, it will not allow me to reopen the file. It just keeps
repeating the error message. If someone knows what is causing this and how to
fix it, I would be most appreciative! Thank you!

Whenever I shut down my computer, I get a Window that

Ensure you close Outlook before you shut down. If it tends to stay resident
then look at disabling any add-ins you have installed (if any). Look at
installing Knockout from http://sunflowerhead.com/software/knockout/ if
Outlook tends to stay resident.

I have a real problem with Windows7 when I try to shut down. The system just
hangs at the shutting down screen for 5-10 minutes before the blue screen of
death comes up then shuts down. When I restart the system it comes back to

restart normally and continue as usual. There are no further problems or
error messages. When I go to shut down it goes through all the above crap
above again. Any help here would be great.

I was trying to mend my ways and clean out a bunch of messages last

I read on one posting that if I delete 'deleted items.dbx' OE will
create a new one and that might fix whatever damage I've done, but I'm
terrified to do that.

Running an offline defrag creates a new database with old defragmented data

Running an Isinteg -s servername -fix -test alltests will correct any minor
errors in the actual data itself
