Microsoft Money 2007 Crashes when I do Online Updates
Hello, I hope that someone may be able to help me. I run Money 2007 version 16.0.120.1303 on Windows XP sp2. I have used Money for quite some time and worked fine until now. When I try to do the online updates the windows error message: "Microsof Money has encountered a problem and needs to close..." appears. When I send the error report Money closes. Is anyone experinecing the same problem? Are there any fixes? Thanks for any help

P.s. Oh! By the way. . . Money does not accept either the files downloaded from my financial institutions. So, even the manual updates is not working!

So: What are the "Details" of the error message (modname, etc), There should be a Click for Details link on that "has encountered a problem" dialog. Did this just recently start happening or has it always been a problem? So, I do not know what other changes may have occured. I did not install anything new on my computer, so I assume that there is no "conflict" with other programs. You could test a new file (or the Sample.mny file) to verify if it is something specific to your data file. Thanks Mark, I think I have found the problem. When you asked if I made some changes I did not remember that I needed to change the Regional Settings of my computer From English (United States of America) to Italian. When I Remebered of that change I reinstated the US regional settings and it worked fine again! It make sense... Italian use a slightly different decimal point (I would say a decimal comma), and maybe this messed us the calculations and created an internal coflict!! Anyway, thanks for the suggestion! It worked! If not, the problem may be a corruption in your money file. Either try one of the several repair methods; or revert to a recent backup. 2. Does it occur after a clean boot? Execute the clean boot per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353 If it does NOT occur, then there is a conflict with another program. Even if you didn't install a new program recently, some existing program may have been updated. If it still occurs, see #1 above. One example of a conflict, which occurs on MY machine, is with Citicard Virtual Account Number. That is a program that generates one-time-use credit card numbers for use in Internet purchases. If that program is running while MS Money is doing certain activities, including downloads, MSMoney will crash. --ron

crash under server 2003
I am experimenting with debugging methods and have a program that deliberately crashes. This works fine under XP but if I run the program on Server 2003 it still crashes but there is no error message - the program just vanishes without so much as a by-your-leave Anyone got any ideas? I reinstalled Money 2004 on my pocket pc. Now its on there, but it wont let me sync it with my Money 2004 desktop version. Is there something special I have to do? in my active sync, it wont let me put a check next to Money 2004. There isnt even a box next to it, but it's lilsted. Hello, I am new to Money. Purchased software in 2001 but never used. I have my assets listed in account register working fine, bills, fine. Now I am entering my debts. I have an account that I've entered that shows in my total account balance and is ADDED, not subtracted from my Total Account Balance as expected. The account shows in my Debt Planner as a liability and shows that I owe. Is this a bug, or something that I do not understand about financial accounting? November 10, 2009 Security Update macro problems
After the Security Update for Excel 2003 and 2007 from November 10, 2009, macros became much slower and a refresh problem started happening. What happens is that when, through VBA, I place a value on a cell on an inactive sheet, the cell where the value has been placed is seen in the active sheet. The problem I have a continuous form with limited data and I would like to have a button which then opens up a selected record in another form I've placed the button via the wizard and, while it opens the form, it doesn't open to the selected record. Hello all, I have a regular form with a datasheet subform attach to it. I have a button in the main form that refreshes data on my datasheet form. This is how it works: I will find a record on the datasheet form, expand it (by clicking on the + sign) and add information. After adding the information I will click on the button (located in the main form) and refresh some fields in the main form (based on what information was entered on the datasheet). Periodically, I need to change the default value to reflect inflation, etcc, but I don't want that change to affect previous calculations. I was wondering if anyone had luck or if it is even possible to use billpay from within money to pay bills with netbank. I've been reading on the net that some people may have gotten it to work. I called netbank and they told me only Quicken works, and they have NO plans to add MSFT Money to the list. I am able to do electronic transfers between netbank accounts from within money. I am experimenting with debugging methods and have a program that deliberately crashes. I reinstalled Money 2004 on my pocket pc. Now its on there, but it wont let me sync it with my Money 2004 desktop version. Is there something special I have to do? in my active sync, it wont let me put a check next to Money 2004. There isnt even a box next to it, but it's lilsted. Hello, I am new to Money. Purchased software in 2001 but never used. I have my assets listed in account register working fine, bills, fine. Now I am entering my debts. I have an account that I've entered that shows in my total account balance and is ADDED, not subtracted from my Total Account Balance as expected. After the Security Update for Excel 2003 and 2007 from November 10, 2009, macros became much slower and a refresh problem started happening. What happens is that when, through VBA, I place a value on a cell on an inactive sheet, the cell where the value has been placed is seen in the active sheet. Hello all, I have a regular form with a datasheet subform attach to it. I have a button in the main form that refreshes data on my datasheet form. This is how it works: I will find a record on the datasheet form, expand it (by clicking on the + sign) and add information. After adding the information I will click on the button (located in the main form) and refresh some fields in the main form (based on what information was entered on the datasheet).
