Stuck with Exchange 2007
My client insists that I role out Exchange 2007 by the end of April. I
would have to say Exchange 2007 is the most half assed attempt MS has ever
made of releasing a product. It is at best in beta stage as far as I can
see. I've read that all the stuff that 2003 did should be released by SP1
but that is a long ways off. I don't know any of the esoteric EMS script
commandlets sniglets which are completely required to administer an Exchange
2007 server. I realize with SP1 that all that should be back in the EMC
like it was in 2000, 2003 but my client won't wait. Ca...convert time to 1/4 hours

calculation already for hours worked but need to be able to convert 7:45 to

additions (.25, .5, .75) to whole numbers. Tried the dividing by 24 thing...
not the answer I need. Columns are: time in, time out, total hours (which
is what needs to be converted).

Just wondering if anyone has done any research, or had any success into
interfacing you own software in JAVA or C++ to RMS.
Basically what I need to do is investigate the possibility of having hooks

Has anyone done this, can you point me in the direction of some references.
Certain RMS System events will fire hooks that can be caught by custom

make COM and JAVA interoperate. RMS is built on SQL Server, so you can also

For any number to be converted into time format you need to divide tha
number by 24, since Excel time code is 24 (hr) code. then you forma
the divided answer (83.33) into time, you will get 8:00

Excel comes as a standalone product or as part of the ubiquitous MS Office
suite. Excel is an application and is not part of WindowsXP, which is your
systems operating system. The are linked by parentage, both being developed
If you want Excel, you will need to purchase it, possibly from Ebay. If you

i want to convert a time format in an access table of the format
HH:MM:SS.SSSSSS so I can export it to excel and then graph it. With the
current format, it exports it and excel sticks a ' in front of it indicating
a text field, hence the need to convert it to a decimal format. Any ideas?
Access doesn't support millisecond so I'm guessing by your format that the
time isn't stored in a true date/time data type field. Therefore you probably
need to manipulate the text after it gets into Excel.
