Page Numbering
I am trying to put page numbers only on the first page of each document in an
appendix section of a large document. I have put section breaks between the
different documents in the section. I was always able to do this in work 97
- can't get it to work in word 2007.

You'll have to select the "Different first page" option in the Page Setup
dialog box for the relevant sections.
To display the Page Setup dialog, click the dialog launcher button (the
little arrow on the bottom right) of the Page Setup group on the Page Layout
tab.
