Missing pictures when converting to pdf

When I convert a file to pdf, some of the pictures in the doc file do not 
make it into the pdf file.
I tried several times. Tried creating a new Word file. Compressed pictures.
Help, I have to deliver this document to my customer soon.

Make sure that the pictures are embedded and not linked int he word file. Are 
u linking them??
