Default paper size
I am using Microsoft Publisher 2000 on a Windows XP system with a HP 930C
printer. The paper size seems to permanently default to Letter. I nearly
always use A4 paper. How can I default to A4 as I quite often forget and end
up spoiling the look of the printout. My printer is defaulted to A4 paper

Make sure under Control Panel > Regional and Language Options and check your
country settings are correct.

AFAIK you can't simply 'convert' a Word doc to an Excel workbook. What you
_can_ do is save the Word doc as a text file (depending on the doc structure
you may need to save portions of the file as separate text files). You can
the open the text file(s) with Excel.

Maybe you can simply copy the table and paste into Excel.

I want to add a button to my tool bar to run a little macro I have written. I
want this button to be available every time I open excel. How do I do this?

1- Go to Tools>Customize and click the Commands tab,

a dde server. I am trying to zoom the display, which I have always beeen abe
to do. Today the zoom button is greyed out. I checked the protection and
the document is not protected. Any ideas?
Just a wild guess.
Maybe something bad happened to those icons on the toolbars.
Can you reset them? (You'll have to rebuild anything you customized.)

I previously had no problem handeling large word file of 4-6megs using word
2000, with word 2003 word tends to hang up or takes a long time to load the
file up to 10 minutes.. I have to do this frequently and it is really slowing
things down. iis there a fix for this??
I think it fair to say that Word 2003 is more stable than Word 2000 and that
4 - 6 mb is a relatively small file and well within the capabilities of
either version. My guess is that the document is looking for its template
and that template is not available in the original location. Or it (or its

When the picture is selected, the contextual Picture Tools | Format tab is
displayed. In the Size group (the last on the right), there is a Crop
button. Click on that to get cropping handles.

Your best option in this case would be to use the document note.

The latest version of Excel will do what you want, I believe. Other than
