In Word, how do I add the caps lock notification to my Status bar? Any help 
would be greatly appreciated.

If you have Word 2007, right-click anywhere on the status bar and click the 
Caps Lock item in the menu. The words "Caps Lock" will appear in the status 
bar if caps lock is turned on, and they'll disappear when caps lock is 
turned off.

For earlier versions of Word, there is no caps lock indicator (I think there 
was one much earlier, maybe Word 97 or before). Instead, you can click the 
Windows Start menu > Control Panel > Accessibility Options and turn on the 
Toggle Keys feature to make the computer beep each time the caps lock key is 
pressed.
