Was always able to open a .doc, but suddenly, I get:
"Word cannot open the document...Try File, Open or
ensure has .doc  extension."

How can I check that it has a .doc extension?
And why would this suddenly occur?

From where did you obtain the document that you cannot open?
How are you trying to open it?

From BOTH my desktop, my laptop AND from Mobile Me (Apple).
Tey Word 97 to open it.
