Office X Mac Word
I just installed Office X for Mac. I started using Word and I wanted
to change the font. So I used the drop-down font menu and type in "t".
Usually in Windows it scrolls immediately to font styles starting with
"t". To my dismay, it doesn't do that. I have to manually scroll down
& down to go the font I want.
Does anyone know if there's any update that I have to install in order
to get this feature? ( i don't even know what to call it)?

I am sending Word X documents to clients using Word 97 and Word 2000=20
and they are unable to open them. What can I tell them to do in order =
open my documents?
Make sure a ".doc" extension is added to the end of the filename of the Word

I work a lot with Hungarian translations at the moment. There are 2
characters that are not shown in office documents (neither 98 nor 2001). The
characters missing are the "o" and "u" with "Doppel-Akut". Their unicodes
are 337 and 369. The characters are shown without any problem on the PC.
We need to put the Hungarian translations into QuarkXpress. Even if I copy
the text out of a PDF the characters are already missing in the clipboard.

Over the years we've gotten new computers and have always been allowed to
load up our older version 2003. Our last computer died so now we have a
brand new one with Windows 7. I brought it home and reloaded (again) our
Office 2003 program. Now whenever we open doc, there comes a pop-up asking
if we accept terms. Please make this annoyance go away. :)

My IT department recently upgraded me to Office 2007. Much of it I
absolutely love. But it is taking some getting used to. Here is my issue.
I created many forms for my department at work in Word 2003 with form fields.
Now, when I open them I cannot access many of the functions on the "ribbon"
such as "Font", "Paragraph" etc. I have done quite a bit of searching
through forums online and not been able to solve the issue. I have found the
"Protect" tab and set it to unrestricted, but I'm at a loss at this point and

We have a word add in that programatically inserts an auto text table then
adds rows to it. This works ok in Word 2002 but occasionally crashes in Word
2007 - this is not a consistent crash when we carry out the same operation it
happens in no specific sequence. The only place we are able to track it down
to is the auto text table inserting rows. Word itself is crashing.
We are using COM AddIn written in VB6.
Does anyone know of any key differences/issues between Word 2002 and Word
2007 that could cause such an error.

I have been trying to solve this bug for some time now. When I make a
child window and place two Rich Edit Controls and a Button to it, the
text in it appears BOLD by default. The button is a "send" button
which copies all the RTF format text to the other RichEditControl. I
also have other buttons which make the characters inputted
Bold,Italic, or Underlined.
But by default everything in the RichEdit Control as well as the
button texts are "BOLD". And that really does not serve the purpose.
Watever controls I add to the frame window, all its text is in BOLD. I

I am considering buying a MAC and would really like to know if it is possible to open my Office 2003 docuemnets (mainly word, excel and powerpoint) with little or no trouble. When speaking to the salespeople at the MAC store, I was not convinced that this can be done so easily.

I'm trying to assist a user of Mac Office X open a file containing
merge fields. The problem is I have limited Mac Office experience and
I only have access to Mac Office 2004.
On Office 2004, when I attempt to open the file in question, I receive

I am having trouble and cannot find a solution...so far! I have a text box
in worksheet1 and I need that information to automatically go to a text box
in worksheet 2. I cannot find a way to make that carry over...I see that
in the box that shows the cell#, it says TextBox 6, but cannot do a formula
in worksheet two that it understands. I tried ='Worksheet1'!TextBox6 ,
but that did not work.
I made a macro for this in an older version of Excel, but it won't work
since Excel has eliminated macros from the new version.

What is the best way to open a MS Works spreadsheet in MS Excel 2000/2003.
(I do NOT have a copy of MS Works onsite to run any conversion)
I know MS works should be banned forever but some people out there think it
appeals to them.

Generally you would normally open the file in WORKS and then save it
down as a file that Excel can read. .xlr is a native Excel format,

I have formatted a column to make sure that all of the cells wrap, but then I
noticed that the wrap feature of a cell supercedes that of a column. I
highlighted all of the cells and changed the wrap feature but the only way I
can get this to work is to do each cell individually. What am I doing wrong?
Also set the rows to AutoHeight.

I have publisher 2007 open, want to edit a document that is already in it
(originally a word 2000) doc. I selected Edit in Word and then edited the
file in word 2000. When I go back to publisher, the text box the doc was in
is grayed out and I cannot figure out how to reinsert the doc.
Can anyone help?
IN addition, I cannot do anything in this text box now. I hit undo in
publisher to undo the word edits, but it will not allow me to do anything in
the grayed out text box and does not show the text that was originally there.
