Word instance is not closed even after closing the word document

I'm opening and printing multiple Word documents from SAP application. Updation of the fields and printing is via the add-ins written in VB. In 2003, when we do this for multiple documents, document gets opened and then printed. Second document uses the existing instance and then prints. But in 2007, when we are doing for multiple documents, though first document is opened, printed and closed, when second document is opened it shows the instance/ document as Document2, prints and closes it. No instance of word is opened. When third document is opened it shows as 'Dcouemnt 3'...

Bullets Disappear After Saving/Reopening

I am working with Word 2007 on Windows Vista Ultimate. I have run across this issue multiple times in multiple documents. I have my documents set up with styles, including bulleted lists (and styles for bullet levels 1, 2, and 3). I keep running into an issue where the document will be fine for any length of time. Windows 7 installed Word documents won't open

I installed Windows 7 this past weekend. I received an email with a word document attached. The attachment will not open. I get a "An error occurred sending the command to the application". I did not have this problem with Vista. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft Office and that did nothing.

Setup Error

I have Word 2007 on Windows Vista Home Premium. As soon as I open Microsoft Word, I get an error message, "The setup controller has encountered a problem during install. Please review the log files for further information on the error." I don't know where said log files are located, so i just close the setup error message. Wor could not create work file

On a Gateway P6301 laptop, we have two user accounts, both admins with no differences in permissions. On one account, Word 2007 generates the error “Word could not create the work file. Check the temp environment variable” when opening the program. It runs without error on the other user account. missing files necessary for Chinese translation

I am using a Hong Kong version of Office 2007 Professional that enables translation between traditional and simplified Chinese. Arrow keys should follow document text when showing side-by-side

When I maximize MS Word it shows pages in left-to-right, top-to-bottom order. Using the arrow keys to navigate, or shift+arrow to select text follows moves the cursor according to the visual layout of pages, so it moves downward from page 1 to 3, for example, skipping over page 2 which is positioned beside page 1. This makes it hard to navigate and select text ("non-intuitive" user interface) when using this mode. It would be nice if the arrow keys would always follow the order of the text in the document, so I could use this layout and still use arrow keys to move the cursor

When I click the office button, prepare, properties and then select advanced properties from the document properties drop down, Word closes immediately. problems with spelling (O 2003)

Office 2003, I haveproblems with the spelling feature in Word and Outlook (the programs I use the most). I select all text > click spelling (or select the language first) > there is always a tick in the box "do not check spelling" > I untick the box and click OK. Spelling does not indicate any mistakes and when I reopen the Spelling menue, there is again a tick in the box for "do not check spelling" although I'd just unticked this box. I can't move my curser around my word documents

Since Microsoft updated my computer this morning and restarted it automatically I have been unable to move my curser around any of my word documents. The docs are fine and work on another computer and my mouse and curser work fine on all other programs. When I close word down a message comes up to say word has stoped responding. File Insert tries to do text conversion.

I am working in WORD 2003. When I try to insert a jpg in the middle of text or even on a separate line WORD tries to convert the jpg. This has never happened before. Probelm printing in Word 97- Only

When I hit the print button for a Word document, the document will not print. If I check for it under my Printers, it shows as "Spooling" but never prints. Shortly after that, Word closes altogether and the document disappears from the print qeue. If not previously saved, the document is lost as well. Word 2008 document sent to Word 2007 compatability problem

Office 2008 has a compatability setting in their preferences. Some of the older douments are opening with document using Office 2000 - 2004 and X compatability instead of Office 2007 - 2008. Hi, I have a bit of an annoying issue with excel and word 2007, I have a Chart in excel, and the text on the horizontal axis is rotated 270 degrees,This Chart is linked in a Word document and when i do an update of the linked chart the rotated text gets all messed up. Style losing "space after"

I upgraded from Office 2000 to Office 2007 yesterday. Whenever I tried to open a template in Word and Excel I kept getting a template download error. I googled my problem and try all the solutions. Error 4605 toggling TrackRevisions in VBA

Intermitent problem: My code (see below) results in a 4605 error message when called from a button click sub. The button click sub is run when a user clicks a button control I've placed on a Word .docm page. If I record a macro from within the document that toggles TrackRevisions, there is no error and I can run the macro as much as a I want with no trouble. I have to use Word 2007 for work and have a pretty full C drive, so I installed it on an external drive. It seemed to work just fine for about 6 weeks. Recently, it started refusing to open in anything but Safe Mode and nothing seems to work. Diagnostics finds no issues. I'm this close to reinstalling but wanted to know if I had to install on the C drive or if I could continue to use it from another drive. My family prefers 2003 and would like to keep it.

word count display limit

I have just passed the 100,000 word mark in a document and have found that the live word count on the status bar at the bottom of the screen is no longer visible. If I delete some words so that it is under 100,000 words then it reappears. I assume it is a spacing issue on the status bar, but I was wondering if there was an update that fixed this problem or if anyone else had come across this issue. The word count window still appears if I click on the area where the word count is supposed to be on the status line. It's a bit silly that I can't resize the area of the status line to

I have Office 2007 running on a Dell laptop with Windows XP SP2 as the operating system. I am an editor, so I am generally sent documents that are jumbled-up messes when it comes to styles/formatting. I edit and fix these problems. Daughter's machine using XP Home. Suddenly the word 2000 application will not print to a canon i560, the only printer in system. It is the selected printer. I must figure out how to open PDF files in Word 2007. I am taking on line classes and work is shared in PDF format. I have a new Dell Inspiron laptop that came loaded with Windows 7.
