Windows 7 Driver for Kodak DC4800 camera

  • Follow

Kodak is apparently no longer supporting my DC4800 digital camera. It is
working just fine, but I can not download pictures into Windows 7.

Issues like this make people reluctant to upgrade to Windows 7.

Any chance that i will be able to get a driver for my camera for Windows 7
from Microsoft?

Thanks,
Jim

Which Windows Update is causing your brain freeze?

Why are you blaming Windows 7 all because Kodak no longer supports your
camera? You shouldn't need a program to upload your pictures. When you
plug your camera it should show up as a storage device in My Computer. Open
it and you can copy/cut and paste your pictures where ever your narrow mind
desires.

You're in the wrong group but I'll answer it anyway. See below.

That's an old camera, doc!

I seriously doubt that's the cause.

When you connect the camera to your PC using USB cable, Windows 7 should
detect it automatically. You'll see a new drive letter assigned to your
camera flash memory card. Another way is to remove the compact flash memory
card and use a memory card reader to transfer data/photos to your PC.
