I'm running Windows XP Version 2002 Service Pack 3, and have been having problems installing the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2 Update for Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP x86 (KB976570). It fails to install in Windows update. When I try to install it without Windows Update, I get a message that says I don't have any of the appropriate software installed. The Error Code is 0x66A. Can anyone help me fix this problem?

Cant access updates

Hi - I have a system that I know has some sort of virus or is in some way hijacked but I can't find the problem. The only way I know it is still hijacked is that I can no longer access Windows updates. I can try through control panel or by going directly to the site. Always says page cannot be displayed. This is a Windows XP Pro SP3 system. I've run full scans with Malwarebytes and Avira. Have also run HijackThis and fixed anything that seemed suspicious. This is the second system this has happened to me on. The last one I gave up finally and just reinstalled the OS.

I have just noticed that this update failed to download on my computer. It seems this is an older update - the fix I found using the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility is no longer available because it apparently caused some other problems. I have windows xp version 5.1.

KB 91185 won't install from Windows Update

Like a few questions before this one, the 'HID non-user input data filter' updates {2 of them} seem to fail. I did hide them, but now it seems the 2 USB ports on the outside of my tower, no longer work! The 2 on the back of the tower work: they have an optical keyoboard and a printer...both work. When I use devmgmt.msc and disable them, nothing. Then I enable and 'scan for hardware changes', and it seems to put them 'back', but then says there's an error with the ''HID non-user input data filter' again? So I guess I need the fixes, but...! Hi, We use Tivoli to do remote pushing and installation of software to PCs, and the PCs are already loaded with WinXP SP3, DotNet Framework 1.0, DotNet Framework 2.0, and DotNet Framework 3.0. Failure on Security Essentials package installation.

Within the last week or so I got a new update for Microsoft Security Essentials, an upgrade package - KB2254596, I think. I've got a machine with WinXP+SP3 and I am also running: Avast Anti-virus and Sygate Personal Firewall. Now, the installation of the package failed (error 0x80070643:, I believe). My problem is i go to the windows update site let to site find the updates thats critical to my computer. after the site locate the updates thats needed and i click on the accept downloads my cursor freezes. Update Problem

Recently, I downloaded & installed updates by going to the Windows Update site -- just like I regularly do, . The update process went fine -- all updates were installed. NOW, however, the program (Acronis) that I regularly use to backup my hard-drive crashes with a BSOD specifying a kernel error. Problems with latest vista update

I have a total of 4 updates that are ready to be installed on my computer, when I turn off the computer it says they are installing, but the computer stays on all night saying installing 1 of 4 updates but they are not installing and it won't do anything else. Failed Updates

Usually when I try to install updates, a message will appear indicating that the process has failed. When I allow Windows to automatically install updates, however, my Internet connection fails and I then have to do a system restore to remove the updates so that I can use the Internet again. Outlook Express 6 can not send emails, but can receive emails.

This problem started awhile back (mid to late 2009) when I could no longer reply to emails, but could foward and create new emails. Problems after latest windows update

Hi all, Using XP, installed latest windows update yesterday and today it installed them and asked for a re-boot. Upon re-boot it asked for my windows XP password. I never had one so I shut down and re-started. This time it booted up ok. But then AVG asked me for a license number. I never had one. Also notice no sound from PC.
