I'm recording from a tape recorder to my computer. When I play it back with
WMP 11, I only get 20 seconds of playback. Can this be changed?

How have you determined the video's longer than 20 seconds ?
Or more importantly, what steps did you take to record from tape
(presumably Audio Cassette tape ? Or did you mean VCR or even DV video
camera tape ?)
20 seconds sounds like a limitation of your recording system - I think
windows Sound Recorder will do up to 60 seconds.
Perhaps you have some other recording software which is a trial/demo
version that only lets you record 20 seconds in demo mode until you
pay for the software ?
In that case, I'd suggest the (free) Audacity software
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ which has many features including
being able to record audi ofrom your soundcard (ii.e. from the
tape/line-in sockets) - and did I mention it's free, too ?
