My media player all of a sudden has no library. I can not play my music.
Files are still on the computer, but I can not figure out how to get them
back in media player.
Months ago I moved everything to an external hard drive.
I also run I-Tunes.
Niether of these things seemed to be a problem earlier.
I have Media Player 11 running on Windows XP; Version 2002: Service Pack 3.
Thanks for any help.

Firstly goto media player "tools" menu and "options". Then search for
something like "add media files when played from removable devices" and then
tick it. Now press "F3" after connecting the external drive containing files
to add those files to your library again. Or you can simply drag and drop the
folder which contains media files to the library window of media player.
Good Luck!
