Playing songs in center pane w/o it moving to right pane?
For example, if I click on a playlist, the songs show up listed in the center
(library) pane in WMP12. If I double click to play any of those songs, it
automatically moves the entire playlist (or album or artist) to the right
pane and leaves the center one empty.
How do I get this to stop? In WMP11, I believe, it kept playing in the
center pane until you hit "Edit in List Pane".
I want to be able to see and use both panes at the same time!

I would be grateful for any help with this. I embedded WMP in MSAccess 2003.
The first time I open WMP set to a url avi file on my local drive it is super

FINE config WMP 11 to show countup or countdown of video time OR B
My Windows Media Player 11 video time progress gone from countup to countdown
to zero how do i adjust set it back? It used to be it would only do this if I
double-click in video area to go to FULLscreen mode; otherwise/anything else,
it's countup--everything that I want (meaning the way it was)--I think!
But a few days ago, don't know what happened/what/something I did, WMP is
now always countdown (to zero)...so how do I get it back? Better yet, is
there somewhere where I can FINE config WMP to where it shows countup or
countdown...or BOTH, separated by a SLASH / maybe???

Double entries in Windows Media Player after installing Windows 7
I just installed windows 7 on my computer. In preparation I had moved all my

When I launched windows media player version 12.0.7600.16415 all my music is
screwed up. Under Media Player 11 the files would group CD's with different
musicians under Various Artists. This version does not allow that. I can
figure that out. Here is the real kicker. Every cd I have placed on my

Plötzlich, ich meine nach einem MS-Update konnte ich keine Videos mehr

Album Art Corruption?
I'm running WMP 11 on Vista 64bit. Have recently ripped about 100 CDs and
just now have had a problem whereby many CDs in the library are displaying
the same (wrong) piece of album art. Only "different" thing I have done
recently is scan a few album covers (if I couldn't find them on internet).
What could be the cause and correction of this problem? Eg. is there a
way to tell WMP to re-build the library from scratch (which hopefully woudl
sort out this album art issue in the process??).
Thanks

Can't Sync Playlists Using Windows Media Player
I have developed playlists using Windows Media Player. Some of the files in
the playlist are duplicated. Every time I attempt to sync with the mp3
device the new playlist eliminates all the duplicate files and leaves me with
only a single copy of mp3 files. This will not work for me. I need
playlists I developed to be synced with my device in their original form.
Can anyone tell me why Windows Media Player keeps throwing out all the
duplicate files?

red x by Media Guide
I am using Windows Media Player Version 11.0.6002.18111 on Windows Vista Home

of the words "Media Guide" I don't know why it is there, because there is no
image that should be loaded there.
It hasn't always been there, it just appeared yesterday. I closed it, and
restarted the computer, and it is still there. I opened the player on a

most of my albums because I have stupidly put my music on two separate
drives. Each drive/folder contains several thousand music albums. Now I want
to compare the contents of these two large music folders. Most of the files
in the two folders are identical—that is, the same albums, but there is some
disparity, and that is what I want to find out, because I want to put all the
albums I have on a single drive, then use the other (a portable hard drive)
as back up. I don't see a way to do this with WMP, and W

WMP12 2010s Auto PlayList Value
I'm using WMP12 on Win7. The Release Year field in auto playlists allows for
creating playlists by decades (e.g. 1980s, 1990s, 2000s). Seems there is
special cose that interprets 1980s as 198*. Unfortunately the list seems to
forget that we just changed over to 2010 as there is no 2010s value in the
drop-down list. So there appears to be no way to segregate 2000-2009 from
2010-2020.
I opened the playlist file is notepad to see if there was SQL code but the

I also tried to put "2010s" as a value in

Media Player stutters
I just got a new computer with Windows 7 and whatever version of Media
Player is included. When I try to play .avi videos that I made in
Movie Maker on another computer, they drag and stutter and are totally
hopeless. They play fine on several other computers. .wmv files play
OK as do .avi files made from snippets of TV shows.
If anyone can tell me why this is happening, and more importantly, how
to fix it, I shall be eternally grateful.
Thanks,
Emily

no speaker audio with windows media player
I have no audio from speakers or headphone jack when using windows media
player. I have computer sounds and playback on ITunes works fine. The only
thing that I can think of is my wife plugged her ipod into my laptop to
charge it yesterday. I've checked the audio controls and the speakers are on
and the volume level is all the way up. any suggestions

Stopping media player from downloading information when ripping
I have a lot of old music on cds that I want on my computer and everytime I
pop one in I get this message....Is there a way to stop it from checking
after every disk??
Windows Media Player cannot download media information for the CD. The
tracks, artist, and album will be identified as "Unknown" in your library. For
best results, connect to the internet or manuall ad media information for the
CD.
