MS File system slow

  • Follow

Hello All:
I have PXA270 based platform both gas Intel Flash P30 on it, in WinCE
5.0 I am using PSM4.0 file system and in Windows ce 6.0 I am using
MSFilesytem.

One this I have seen, In WinCE 6.0 platform, the access time to flash
drive 3 time slower,

Are we all experience the same problem?

Reading and writing access are both slower than on CE 5.0?
IPSM was optimized for Intel's own memories, so I would expect a
difference in performances, but not such an heavvy difference.
How did you configured the chipselect where your flash device is
connected? Did you enable burst mode and the same access timing you used
in CE 5.0 for it?
