Reliability and Performance Monitor error message

I have a hp laptop using Vista. I am finding that I can no longer access my Reliability and Performance Monitor to generate a report on my computers state of health. When I try to access it, an error message comes up stating - Error: An error occured while attempting to generate the report. The interface is unknown. Disk Defragment?

When I set the Defragmenter to defag at a specified date and time it never does because where is lists the "next scheduled run" is has listed "never" and I don't know how to get rid of the "never" See screen shot below. Space available: different result between Property and JDiskReport

I have just checked my available space in C: Property shows I am occupying 90.6 GB (and oddly it "steals" some GB while Vista is running and my hard disk seems to fill up by itself. JDiskReport shows I am using only 85.8 GB and it provides a detailed list of my files. Who is it right?

Firts; Thank to you all for your quick responce, and interesting suggestions. Your willingness to help is welcoming. I do have it all back and running. I went to "ASUS" web site and dug around till I found my computer and then dug some more until I found " Down loads " My laptop is four years old. I reloaded the drivers I found under "VGA" and AUdio. Bingo ! My suggestion for all would be to make a backup copy of all your drivers and store them outside the computer. VGA Problem

I have a ASUS laptop running Vista Home Premium, 64 bit OS. NVIDA GE Force 9500 M GS Video I can no longer connect my laptop to my TV. In the past I just connected the VGA port to the TV useing the required cable. Error msg from TV. " No sorce found " Also my head phones jack is not working. I have checked the Device Mgr and do not see anything flaged. All my USB ports are working. Driver Genius says all my drivers are up to date. Screen Keeps Going Blank and Have to Turn Comp off with Vista

I bought this laptop new at Best Buy in Oct. and it had Vista. It waws fine fro about the first week, but then I would be in the middle of ordering something or looking at a site and the screen just goes white. I have to turn comp off and back on and log in all over again. This is happening more and more frequently. I have good virus protection and run scans frequently to make sure I don't have a virus. I have heard that people had problems in the past with Vista. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what can I do? -- mgraw

AudioEndpointBuilder Reading Excess Files

Recently I've encountered an issue in one of my svchost.exe's. The process is taking up over 200k memory and has 2 million+ I/O Others. When the service is traced it leads to AudioEndpointBuilder. I'm aware of what this program does and don't understand why it's reading excess files and taking up so much memory especially considering that I'm not running any kind of audio on my PC at the moment. Could print OK from HP PC running Vista Home Premium to my HP printer. Then merged my home office, Mac and HP PC. Set up wireless Airport Extreme with the Mac on wireless and the PC on ethernet. I can access internet OK from each. The printer is connected via USB to the wireless router. Followed instructions on PC setup for printer sharing. Programs and software is not launching.

I currently using a Sony laptop with window vista home premium. Few days ago, my laptop started to have some malware called Antimalware doctor and Your protection so, i tried spyware doctor to remove it but it didn't seem to work so i had to remove it in regedit area. Luciky, the malware removed but my whole system is down. I can hardly start my laptop in a normal mode as I can't get into the login screen. Blue Screen....Vista...Safe/Normal Mode......Problem

I had this problem this morning, never heard of before. My laptop wont allow me to log-in. In safe mode, I can log-in but Bill Gates IE wont run and things look ugly on the screen. I tried System Recovery, the machine kept running for an hour till I gave-up. Any expert with this provide some directions on how to fix? vista update help

HI i have windows vista and i waS getting some bad viruses. so i restored the system from a week ago. now ive downloaded the Zune software and it wont finish set up it loads for hours. so i try shutting my laptop down and while shutting down its configuring upates for a very long time. ill turn it back on, it installs 3 updates and try to install zune again does not work. ive had zune before and it installed in seconds. i shut comp down and the congfiguring updates comes up and takes hours to shut down. it never did this before i restored the comp set for a 1 week back. and

Missing space on my computer

I can't account for around 200 gb of space on my computer. C folder is 450 gb I've been looking through my files and folders and I can only account for about 200-250 gb and I am almost out of space. I am trying to defrag my hard drive and I started compressing file folders which is saving some space but I am not sure if this should account for the entirety of the problem. I haven't downloaded anything in a while and still I've just watched 5 gb disappear in about a two week period of time. problem with shell32.dll

I'm not much of a computer nut here and don't want to mess around my system stuff or i'll end up recovering my whole computer. When i start up my comp and login i get this prompt, "The procedure entry point SHFlushClipboard could not be located in the dynamic library SHELL32.dll." I hit ok and my taskbar and icons go blank. freezing problems & start up problems

I have a Toshiba satellite laptop, just barely over a year old. In Oct. the hard drive went bad and sent it in to toshiba to have it replaced under the warranty. They replaced it with a smaller hard drive first of all and none of the keyboard short cuts work.
