I have followed the directions for adding mail.insightbb.com to my windows 
mail.  Now what is happening is I am completely disconnect from the internet 
and I get the following error message:

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Call me when you get 
this-Lisa', Account: 'mail.insightbb.com', Server: 'mail.insightbb.com', 
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 
0x800CCC0E

What is my next step to correct this?

You have to be connected to the internet in order to send a message.
Look in the Outbox, and you should see the message there.
If it won't send while you are connected to the internet, it may be "stuck". 
In that case, try dragging it to the Drafts folder, reopen it and try to 
send again.

Please explain what you mean by "disconnect from the internet".
Are you able to browse websites via Internet Explorer?

The error message pertains to sending only, so are you able to
receive email messages? When you got that error message, was
your Internet connection through Insightbb, or were you on a=20
laptop away from home?
