help, trapped in VISTA world

Hello!

I am trying to set up my windows mail using an @live.com e-mail address, yet
I cannot find the POP and/or STMP information for @live addresses anywhere.

What do I enter in these two fields?

Thank you in advance!

--------------
am repeating this broken record of email requests above -- what the fck is
this all about? why does anyone have to go thru this torture simply to setup
an email accnt? to date, still have figured this out since getting my
computer with VISTA format since last spring 09 // can only use Windows Live
Messenger emails

Pick one or two:
http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail/search?group=microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail&q=hotmail%2Baccess+OR+%22set+up%22+%2B+mvp&qt_g=Search+this+group

Live.com Settings:

Server names and ports:
POP3   =   pop3.live.com    Port = 995
SMTP   =   smtp.live.com   Port = 587

Checkboxes you need to check include:

Server Tab: "My server requires authentication" (Click "Settings" button
also and fill in "Log on Using" email address - *** but do NOT check the
checkboxes there . . . .)

Advanced Tab: BOTH outgoing and incoming - "This server requires a secure
connection (SSL)"

General Tab (if desired but generally recommended): "Include this account
when receiving mail or synchronizing"

Should work - if you get errors post the entire error message (cut-n-paste)
for further assistance.
