AppleSyncNotifier problem

when i log on to windows vista i recieve an error message "AppleSyncNotifier has stopped working" Windows will automaticaly search for the fix and then it will just ask me to close the program as it does not have a fix. I do not have this program in the programs list. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?-Thanks in advance-John

Strange error in Disk Management

I have an IDE to USB dongle that works fine with all my spare disks save one. When I try to get it to install I get the "USB device installed correctly" tone but nothing shows up in the Computer panel. I then go to Computer Management and check on the disk. It is showing with a tiny red mark of some kind (very hard for my eyes to see) and the word "unknown" under Disk1. In addition, 'not initialized' is under the unknown notification. Missing printers causing long boot times?

A Vista Business 64-bit was booting fine until an Epson printer decided that the ink was low, put a two page document into the queue, and never operated properly since. We first deleted the printer object, connected to another printer on another workstation, and were able to print. But that failed on the second attempt to print, so we waited for the refurb Lexmark to arrive. The Lexmark works fine, prints like a champ, but the boot still takes forever. Is there a log that I can look at to determine if time is being lost while the boot process looks for the old Epson printer

Mic not detected

I upgraded from Vista to W7 when it first came out. I have just recently realized that it apparently cut off the mic and I cannot record anything. I can still hear cd's.etc. I did not discover this until I tried to send a video message to my son who just got deployed to Iraq. Dell customer support has been useless thus far. Thanks for any suggestions as to how to fix this problem.

Ok i have a Dell Studio 1735 laptop media setup with Windows VIsta 32bit Home premium. I got board of the XP modded (Pirate Edition- seriauly its called that) install so i formatted today an installed but got the dreaded "no driver detected" (the one where its wants Sata drives from floppy)(i managed to work my way around this by installing the VISTA OS on anoter laptop an changing the hard drive back. HP Laptop - lost my sound after installing updates

Sometimes, after installing MS updates or other apps, I lose my sound. The only way I get it back is to use System Restore to a point where the sound worked. However, then I don't have the updates or apps. This tells me that it's a software problem with Vista - not a hardware problem. Now, I am about 11 MS updates behind - and no sound. Also, the System Restore doesn't work anymore (I no longer have a Restore point where the sound worked). I've Googled and have found that many people have similar problems with their HP laptops. Extend Volume is greyed

On my physical drive I have 3 primary partitions (one is active with Vista installed) and one extended which contains one local drive. Besides there are 90gb unallocated space just before the extended partition. I wanted to use this unallocated space by extending the extended partition into that unallocated space, but the Extend Volume commany in the relevant menu is grayed. Why and how do I get round it?

My Windows Vista won't play any games, why?

My Windows Vista has all the right requirements for my games, but when I install them, a message pops up that says that the game has not been installed correctly, then if I try to play any games, they will start working, but then after the intro a message pops up that says something like, Your game has stopped working, Windows is searching for a problem and will close and notify you when a solution is possible. Missing dialog to burn CDR

This used to work fine but now does not. When I insert a CDR or DVD, no dialog pops up offering to fromat the CDR. If I try to read the CDR, it tells me it has to be formatted first. How do I get the dialog back or manually start the dialog? Bill

HP Deskjet 935 C

I have a HP Deskjet 935C printer which has always worked fine in both Black and White print and in Color. Today I wanted to print a color document and it always shows in the preview as a black and white document (which it is not). It also prints it as Black and White. Yet , I checked all on the printer and it is set for Best quality Color and I just cannot figure out why the preview shows it always in black and white. I have a newer Epson and it shows and prints it fine in color. So the document is OK. It is something on the HP printer, but I cannot figure what. Any ideas
