I want to use Windows Explorer to search files that contain a word like PID.
The file type could be .hl7, .txt, .doc or .pdf. How can I do this?
Right now it does not show the result for .hl7 file. .hl7 is a text file
really.
Thanks
Peter

Stolen form a post by Dave N9 in the very nest thread:

If it wraps badly for you, use this TinyURL version of the above link:

Did you *tell* Windows to search for xl7?
It perhaps won't search for it by default.

Did you *tell* Windows to search for xl7?
I imagine it won't search for it by default.
I reposted this because I accidentally sent it to the wrong server. And
I meant hl7, not xl7, above :-)

OTOH, apparently I don't understand how stuff gets out there. Seems like
even if I post to Albasani it gets to MS's server as well. As in this
post...I think :-)
