Hi:
It is possible this was just a temporary glitch in the hotmail system, or
that the user name is not quite correct, however:
Is sigsme.com your email domain?
If so, you may have two issues with your mail server:
use mxtoolbox.com or dnsstuff.com to check. The two I found were a spam
blacklist and your mail server slow to respond, either of which could cause
mail to be rejected by the "big" isps. Or the little ones, for that matter.

Thanks for your reply My Domain name is "sigsme.com" and this is
happening with the hotmail it is happening with all domains on which i
am sending mails through exchange. When i use the pop3 it works fine but
when i use the exchange account to send email it bounce backs. as i have
told that my exchange dont have Static IP i am relaying on Host server.
So do suggest that i run those tools which have given to me or its
something other.

Sorry in hurry i missed smtp.
I have checked while using mstool.com and find every thing ok only two
last blacklist status was Time out.
I have also talked with my hosting company who provided the HOST IP to
me and they replied in this i am attaching it below so you please read
and tell me that does it makes any sense.
"Below message indicates that the recipient specified in the RCPT
command is not locally hosted on the server and relaying options prevent
the message being forwarded to the recipient. To resolve this you should
ensure that an address map has been associated with the desired mailbox.
If you receive this message then you should use the MMC to ensure that
this address has been assigned to a mailbox. This can be done in the MMC
by viewing the properties of the Mailbox."
If you need the exchange cabinet file or stmp log file for your
reference i can also send it to you. Bcz Hosting company is denying that
problem lies at their end.

Hi Matt,
Thanks for your post and others' input.
Error 550 is a generic protocol error or an SMTP error causes this NDR. The remote SMTP server responds to a sending server's identifying EHLO with a 500-level error. The
sending system will then terminate the connection and deliver an NDR indicating that the remote SMTP server cannot handle the protocol. For example, if a Microsoft Hotmail?
e-mail account is no longer active, a 550 SMTP error will occur.
I am not sure what ISP you are using, to reset the SMTP virtual server configuration, it can be achieved by running the CEICW wizard, you can tell the CEICW not to modify the first
couple of items, only Exchange, and select the option to 'forward mail to this server', specifying the SmartHost mail server. Then restart server and check the issue again.
Meanwhile, you can follow below TechNet article to telnet the SmartHost server IP by 25 port and see if it makes you through.
How to Use Telnet to Test SMTP Communication
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123686.aspx
If the SmartHost server works as expected but issue persists, please enable SMTP logging and view the SMTP Log (or a Netmon trace) to see why the remote SMTP server
rejects the protocol request.
How to enable SMTP log
===================
First, enable SMTP log on your Default SMTP Virtual Server on the sender's server.
a. Please open Exchange System Manager.
b. Right click on "Default SMTP Virtual Server" and click Properties.
c. On the General tab, please check the option "Enable logging".
d. Select W3C Extended Log File Format from the list below.
e. Click the Properties button. In the General Properties tab, please
confirm the following settings:
- Check the option Daily
- Check the option "Use local time for file naming and rollover"
- Confirm the setting for "Log file directory" to be
"C:\WINNT\System32\LogFiles"
- Check ALL the logging options on the Advanced tab.
Second, reproduce the issue.
Third, check the SMTP log on both side to if there are more clues, e.g. at which session and for what reason it dropped the SMTP connection. (SMTP log file under C:\WINNT
\System32\LogFiles\SMTPSVC#" (# is a number. The number for the Default SMTP Virtual Server is 1).
For detailed information about how to enable and track mail flow information in SMTP log, please refer to the article:

Mazhar
I know this doesn't relate to your post
However You are posting to techarena.in
(Which Pushes posts up to the Microsoft Public forum)
Since this NNTP forum will no longer be supported from Microsoft
Soon your posts and others to this newsgroups will most likely be ignored.
It would be a good idea for you to start using Microsoft's new Forum
(I made a easy URL Redirect called www.SBSRepair.com)
That will put you in the correct source for information on SBS.
There is also instructions in the "Announcements" on how to use a NNTP
Reader if you wish"
I hope you find this information helpful in the future
