sbs 2003 send mail to one specific adres problem
Hello, i have a SBS2003 (A) and if i send a email to one specific adres
(domain) it stays in my sbs 2003 queue.
The other server is also a SBS2003 (B) and it receives all mail from
diffrent senders.
when i check with nslookup from my SBS (A) the settings are ok.
i receive in my outlook the following error:
Reporting-MTA: dns;mydomain.nl
Final-Recipient: rfc822;recipient@otherdomain.nl
Action: delayed
Status: 4.4.7
Will-Retry-Until: Thu, 8 Apr 2010 17:53:04 +0200
X-Display-Name: recipient@otherdomain.nl
how can i test or find out what is wrong?
regards,
marc.

I start my troubleshhoting with this article.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/323350 You will see the error on your
screen and can start your troubleshooting with some specific error
message. Also I test my server at www.mxtoolbox.com

A small additional note: the responses show angle brackets around the
email addresses, but not in the commands. Some servers, not all, require
you to type those brackets around the sender and recipient email
addresses, and will give a syntax error if you don't.

Hello Marc,
Thanks for your post and others' input.
For general mail flow delay(#4.4.7) issue, if you have not changed any settings on the Exchange server, then the network connection bandwidth and server performance or 3rd party applications will be
the common causes. However the root causes varies due to different environment. To troubleshoot mail flow issue, I suggest you enable the Message Tracking feature in Message Tracking center to
track the inbound emails and see at which the mails are stuck. Please refer to the following articles for details steps:
Exchange 2003 Message Tracking and Logging

Message tracking event IDs in Exchange Server 2003

By the way, you may also test using other public email account e.g. hotmail on the Internet and check whether other domain B user can receive it. If they still cannot it, this should be a destination end -
Server B issue instead of Server A.
The following articles may help, please check it:

Hope this helps.
